Wentworth Golf Club

Don’t a pay a penny for this course, no grass except in the backyards of the houses around it.

Wentworth GC pushed out a flyer that they had heard the voices about the condition of the golf course and have made great strides in improving the course and amenities. They gave various excuses for the conditions like broken irrigation pump, lack of staffing, broken mowers, etc. The notification pushed out on Facebook and their website said that they were having a Grand Reopening on October the 24th. So, giving them the benefit of the doubt we booked a tee time on Wentworth's website for that morning. When we arrived, the place looked abandoned and there was no staff on the grounds. Only a painter who was there painting the restaurant. He told us that there weren't any golf carts and there was no staff on site. Some Grand reopening. Pretty bad when the staff doesn't even care enough to show up to work. I will never, ever go back here. Just a waste of gas, time, and money.

They are not mowing the rough and sometimes large area of the fairways! Greens are just weeds and fungus with a few that are ok. You will need a weed whacker to find ur ball and even then probably won’t find it.

As per the guy in the pro shop, the course is in really bad condition. He stated there was a problem with the sprinkler system (meaning the course hasn’t been watered in weeks). Every green is dead and covered with weeds. The fairways are dirt and any grass that has survived on rain water is three feet tall. Tree limbs and debris are scattered everywhere making it impossible to play. There has been no maintenance on this course in a long time. GolfNow should not offerthis course on its website.

I’ve been golfing here for almost 5 years. It’s finally reached conditions where I won’t be back. A recent ownership change from a YouTuber including CC Sabathia gave me hope but it’s worse since that happed and I’m not sure it’s going to ever recover. Tee times for tomorrow (Sunday) are $49 and I would demand a refund if I paid that. I’m including a picture of Hole 18 green and this is a good example of every green. Fairways are weeds barely mowed. Rough is weeds not mowed. Tee boxes are no longer resembling tee boxes. Sand is full if rocks and weeds. It’s very depressing. Homes in this neighborhood are beautiful (1-2 million dollar homes). It’s a shame that whoever bought this didnt do their job. There must be secret future plans of this golf course that don’t involve golf.

Worst course by far I’ve ever played. Wish I could have my money back.

No way in possible this course should be open. It's almost laughable how horrible this course has gotten. It's really sad because I used to work here and it was in great shape and now it looks abandoned.

I use to love playing this course, the fairways are great until 17 and good luck finding your ball in the middle of it(look like a jungle with all the high weeds)

When it comes to the greens well beside 13 and 14 the rest are just bad horry to say the keast

When you lose your ball in the fairway, there's a problem. The greens were burnt and half dead. The rough was completely overgrown.

Used to be a top class course, now in poor condition

The fairway is looking at the rough you stepped into the rough your ankle deep and lose your ball in two seconds the green is more like brown. This is one of the worst courses I have ever been to do not spend your money on this.

I'm use to live this course, the layout everything, but presently, it's becoming horrible to play it, the greens are dead I would say 9. 17 and 18 are the only one worth using, and the fairways are great until 17, feels like you are playing in a corn field, Lost 3 balls in the fairway, why why!!!!

I've never seen any course in this bad of shape. I've been playing this course for almost 20 years. It''s gone up and down but this is unacceptable. There is literally zero grass on the greens, the fairways are brown and not cut. They should stop charging the public to play and shut it down until it's at least respectable and owned by someone who cares. Very sad.

I’ve played Wentworth many times, but playing today it seems like every bit of equipment they have to maintain the course must be broke down. I have never seen a course in such horrible conditions. Lost balls in the “fairways” due to overgrowth and pretty much just sand traps for greens. Spend your money anywhere but here.
