Hidden Valley Golf Club

Hidden Valley Golf course is one of the best courses I've played. For the price it's a must! Fun holes courses and greens in great shape.

Pro shop attendant is rude and not friendly at all. Tee time was 10 am and was able to tee off a few mins early , starter put to mamy people to fast. After the first hole was completed we sat for 15 mins waiting for the next group to clear due to it being oversold or large goups ( 5 some in front of us ) , We waited at every hole and by the time we finished hole 9 holes we were 3 hours in an1:45 behind pace . Would have took 6 hours for nine holes . Great course , good challange but they need to space out the tee times properly .

Love playing this course, one of my favorites. My issue is with staff - Arrived at stood at front counter for 5 mins while 3 employees looked at me but didn't greet me, cart guy walks out and tells other employee "You have someone here" Other employee walks up and acts like I'm bothering him....Starter was not friendly.....Then me and twosome I was paired with were on Hole 3 teebox and group in front of us were hitting 2nd shots of Hole 3 we got talked to to keep up pace with group and stay on top of the group...NOBODY was playing slow....Chill Out! Lastly, the golf carts are ridiculously governed....as well as the incessant prompts on the screen. It got really frustrating. I love the course and it was in great condition but staff could use improvement and loosen up on the golf cart speed restrictions

I last played here 6 months ago in which the round took 5 hours to complete. Stayed away until now to give it another shot hoping they had improved on this issue and it was somehow actually worse. We had a mid-morning tee time that started 20 minutes late due to reasons undisclosed by the starter.

We were waiting on every hole for the group in front of us while we never saw the group behind us on our tail. So basically both groups around us weren't keeping pace and we ended up not even being able to finish the round due to an afternoon appointment we needed to make (we had left ourselves FIVE hours between the tee time and appointment). This was on a THURSDAY by the way.

Unfortunately like with many So. Cal courses these days, greed outweighs guest experience on the priority list, and not enough resources and thought are put into keeping pace of play or spreading out tee times.

Which is a shame, because the course is actually in great condition and fun to play.

This is always a fun and challenging track. We play this course often. Fairways were lush and greens rolling true and fast.

The bunkers need sand- badly. Most of the bunkers were just hard pan- and hard to get any loft out of.

My complaint yesterday was the terrible pace of play. Mid-week 9:00am tee off- and our round took just over 5.5 hours !!! 20 minutes behind off the 1st tee- and it only got worse from there. I don’t know if they are trying to squeeze in extra times because of shorter days- but we had to wait way too long on every shot.

I appreciated the layout and maintenance of the course on the top of the barren mountain desert area.

The course provides the enough challenge for me to imagine the beauty when I went home and lied down for the night.

The windy condition is a negative aspect, and it seems that it will be windy all year round there.

I plan to go back again to meet the course challenge.

This is one of the best greens and Fairways golf courses, and the views are spectacular. Not an easy course. Gotta have a good range, but a beautiful course

I understand there are a lot of hills and dangerous curves but the geofences make driving the carts beyond frustrating. The pace of play was not horrible but rough at 5 and a half hours. Overall ok but better courses nearby for same or lower prices.

5.5 hours for a Saturday 8:30tee time is a bit much. Never saw a Marshall, group ahead fell 2 holes behind before the turn. Brutal waiting on every shot.

I like this course when the weather is good. We happened to go when there were high winds. I’ve never played ata course with so much turbulence! The front nine was so difficult. Since we couldn’t get a rain check, we had no choice but to play through.

If the high winds weren’t enough, you’re constantly being peppered by sand and rocks from the mountain!

I have never finished a round here. Every time we play it gets to a point where you are waiting 10-15 minutes on every hole. We got to the turn and there were 3 groups on the hole. One of them was a 5-some. We saw two 5-domes on the day. They need to spread their tee times out!

I enjoyed the course a lot and the design.

One issue we had was that the bunkers had NO SAND in them and that made it a bit unpleasant when I found myself in a bunker.

Booked thru the Golf Now app. Modified tee time from 4 to 3 people thru app. When we arrived we found out that our tee time had been cancelled. We were still given the tee time but were told next time to call the course and not to modify the tee time thru the app as this will cause some confusion. Round took over 5 hours to complete. Some of the groups ahead of us were SUPER slow.
