About
Perdido Bay Golf Club has hosted several notable players including Jack Nicklaus, Tom Kite, and Curtis Strange. It also formerly served as the site to the Pensacola Open for a decade-long stretch and while it may not be host anymore it still preserves its integrity as a challenging, championship course. The golf course is long and narrow, rewarding both distance and accuracy. Although it is mostly flat there is some strategic mounding that causes tricky lies throughout. Perdido Bay Golf Club's fairways are flanked by multiple cuts of rough and the greens are large and undulating. Many of the greens, as well as the tees, are also elevated. In addition to the golf course, there are also extensive practice facilities that include a large driving range, putting green, chipping green, and greenside and fairway bunkers.

Blowing in the wind
Showed up early and desk said we could go out early. Pace of play was within 3 1/2 hrs. Mid to upper 50s with a 20 mph wind. Course was in great shape. Will go back again during our snowbird trip for the next 2 months.
Interesting course
Water ravines crossing many fairways requires course management. Fairways and greens in winter condition but ok to play. Sand traps not in good shape.
A delight!
I really enjoy this course, of all the courses in the Pensacola area. And, as a bonus, the fairways are still green in early December!
Not Very Welcoming
When we arrived the gentleman at the pro shop was cold and disinterested in us. The starter was equally rough. The only pleasant surprise was the bar tender smiling over her mask. She made us relax and smile before our round. The course, which was once a PGA course, was in good shape and fun to play.
Disappointed!!
We were extremely disappointed. When we arrived at the pro shop the gentleman at the desk was not friendly. The starter was equally UNfriendly! The only person who showed us any courtesy or friendliness was the bar tender!!!!
The was fairly nice snd we were paired with nice folks. To bad the personnel were so unfriendly.

Two of the nicest guys invited me to play with them and that led to a perfect day of golf. Little slow on the back with two groups of five in front of us
Really pretty course
The course was really well kept up considering hurricane Sally has been through recently. Lots of hazards whether water or sand so ball placement is key. Staff was very friendly, though had to switch carts after 9 due to battery being low. Pace was great and never caught any other people until #17. Value was excellent because we caught a deal time. I would recommend this course if you want a challenge.
