About
Perdido Bay Golf Club has hosted several notable players including Jack Nicklaus, Tom Kite, and Curtis Strange. It also formerly served as the site to the Pensacola Open for a decade-long stretch and while it may not be host anymore it still preserves its integrity as a challenging, championship course. The golf course is long and narrow, rewarding both distance and accuracy. Although it is mostly flat there is some strategic mounding that causes tricky lies throughout. Perdido Bay Golf Club's fairways are flanked by multiple cuts of rough and the greens are large and undulating. Many of the greens, as well as the tees, are also elevated. In addition to the golf course, there are also extensive practice facilities that include a large driving range, putting green, chipping green, and greenside and fairway bunkers.

a scrappy course
the course appears initially to be a pushover, but after a few holes, has some very interesting carries over water to some elevated greens. Also a few strategically placed traps and pot bunkers that keep things interesting. Looking forward to playing it in a couple of days armed with a bit more local knowledge!
Just Okay
Tee boxes mostly dirt, bunkers need sand, course just needs little more care in all places. Staff not friendly but did their job, seen cart girl twice on ninth and eighteen holes. Carts showing some age. Appears they are not interested in moving golfers off first tee quickly. There was foursome at first tee they offered to allow twosome go in front and starter said no. Thought very strange. This made several groups wait all day. Also appears they do not like for golfers to use GolfNow. They could lose GPS as most people have range finders or GPS watches. Price high for condition of course.
RI GOLFERS
We come to Orange Beach area every year for 2.5 months of sun and golf. We will now add this track to our rotation as the layout is very challenging with some great holes. They allow fivesomes but they move along.
SECOND TIME IS A CHARM
This is the second time I played this course and it is still well maintained and a enjoyment to play.
Blowing in the wind
Showed up early and desk said we could go out early. Pace of play was within 3 1/2 hrs. Mid to upper 50s with a 20 mph wind. Course was in great shape. Will go back again during our snowbird trip for the next 2 months.
