Challenge the Savannahs. On the windward side of Merritt island lies one of the most unique golf courses on Florida's Space Coast. The 6,450 yard Gordon G. Lewis design winds through majestic hardwood forests, natural wetlands, and scenic lakes to reveal protected, undulated greens. Nine holes are framed by a natural savannah conservation area, bordered by hammocks with a high canopy of trees and coastal flatwoods. Water, in the form of natural wetlands and manmade lakes, comes into play on thirteen holes. The course boasts several unforgettable holes, such as the 525-yard, par 5 Signature 7th, regarded as one of the most challenging holes in Central Florida. This beautifully tight, typically southern course features six sets of tees, making play ideal for beginners and pros. The back tees are demanding even for the best of the best, while our new “Family Tees” are playable by anyone who wants to tee up. Prepare for your round by warming up on our practice facilities that include: unique aqua range, chipping and bunker area, and full-sized practice putting green. Look around during your visit, and you will notice nature's splendor on display. Our preserve features many water birds, birds of prey, reptiles, and low country mammals that make the savannahs their home. The fairways additionally offer a great view of the nearby Cape Canaveral rocket launches. Our southern plantation styled Clubhouse is a great place to start and end your day at The Savannahs. Inside you will find a golf shop, plus a bar and grill with great food and hospitality to match. Or, wander outside to the veranda overlooking the aqua range and golf course to catch the sunset.

Good, not great

Greens were good but course had some dry spots. Some cool holes that required a good shot selection. Would play again. Good value for money

Course great MANAGEMENT SUCKs.

Once we played the 9th hole we had to wait 45 minutes to start on the 10th. No control from management people were just pushing in the play. Very disappointed with this as the course is great to play. Make sure everyone enjoys the course without people pushing in. Thank you

Awesome golf course

Staff was great, they were professional and on the money with getting the carts ready and we didn’t have any issues with our online payment. The course was some what hard, plenty of water and trees to deal with! I’m coming back again soon.

Course was wet from rains previous days, so was cart path only. Lots of soft areas and some standing water. Condition was pretty good considering.

Tough love

This was my first time playing at Savannah country club and I enjoyed it. The course is challenging with a lot of water hazards that create difficult shots, recoveries, when you don’t know the water is there. I look forward to a better second time around this beautiful layout. The pro shop staff and car girl were great. Go check it out

Solid course but ….

There are places where you need course knowledge to avoid water and going through doglegs. Overall greens, fairways and tee boxes in good shape.

New Home Course?

This course is miles and miles better than any public one in Orlando. The tee box, fairways and overall turf conditions are excellent. But their green conditions are their greatest asset. Some are small, all are sloped and or undulating, but they roll true and smooth. Imho there’s zero places in Orlando that can touch the value that this course gives you for under $50. There’s some forced-carry tee shots, but it’s very fair because they have designated drop areas so one doesn’t Tin Cup away all their golf balls and hold up players behind them. JT their head PGA Pro is a Hoot! All the staff are friendly and polite. If you play here on Th-Su, they serve awesome BBQ at the 19th hole. You can buy a pitcher (4pints) of Intracoastal IPA for $10! I love this course so much, that I intend to play here twice a week thru out the entire Winter. In fact I told JT the other day, “I’m adopting the Savannahs GC as my new home course”. Which is an awfully sad statement, because I actually live on an Orlando GC!

I like this course’s variety

I like this course’s variety. A lot of different type holes and wildlife. Course has a lot of water so my golf partner didn’t like it. Definitely one of those courses that you need to get to know before you know where to hit it
