Cimarron Golf Club - Pebble Par-3 Course

Played both courses and both were in very good shape, even after all the rain. Couple of recommendations, …..since neither course returns to the clubhouse between “9’s”, an effort should be made to provide permanent on course washroom facilities. Many courses have managed to make that possible, not sure if it’s in the plans for Cimmaron but it would be nice not to have to try to find a tree to “water”, and it’s a definite must for the women.

The facility was full to capacity both rounds and it turns out that the cart supply/storage is not enough for early arrival. This is a bit inconvenient for those who prefer to arrive early for a later tee time and enjoy all of the amenities that Cimmaron has to offer because the club drop area has a sign which warns not to leave your clubs unattended while you’re waiting so you have to park your vehicle (if you can find a spot) and come back when you’re within about 45 minutes of your tee time and hope that a cart is available then. This isn’t a problem if a course is walkable because a person would have the option to walk but when your tee fee includes the cart and with the lack of on course bathroom facilities it’s not doable so the guys managing the carts are scrambling to accommodate the guests constantly.. I guess if the GolfNow listing was to mention these things, don’t arrive early and not enough on course bathroom options, it would be easier to plan for an enjoyable round.

We only got half our round in when an extreme dust storm blew in making it unable to continue. Just an act of nature nothing to do with the quality of course which was in excellent condition.

It was a Sunday but if Sunday is tough on speed of play, then have a marshal. I’m not sure how far in front of us they were (because so many people were leaving between us and them that it was hard to say) but there was a 5 some. (4 riding - 1 walking without clubs - that makes me think management didn’t know all 5 were playing) that was drinking and hitting multiple shots from the tees and were just ungodly slow. In fact when enough people had left and we ended up behind them, we immediately saw what was going on and also left, noting that the remaining holes had no one on them. If we weren’t already 3+ hours in (on a par course mind you) we could have picked up after them but by then we had had it.

Good course to practice short game. Unfortunately the staff allowed 2 groups of 5 players ahead of us. Play time was very slow. Then the wind picked up and dropped temperatures and visibility down. Barely got 16 holes in 3.5 hrs

The course was in immaculate condition. Very fun layout. All par3s with one par 4. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a great par 3 course.

Coming down from the cold to warm up the body and soul, Pebble did the trick. Great short game practice and putting on well maintained greens. Playing Boulder course next!

Wow, I was impressed with the golf course and after all, that’s why players come. Right?

Course had some challenging holes, but was very basic. Straight away holes, with a few elevated greens, and not much character. Fairways were thick and rough and very inconsistent. Greens were fair but inconsistent. Some slow and others quicker. Pace of play was poor, with waiting on some holes and then speeding up to catch up, and then slowing down and waiting to hit. Best hole was the last, with some challenge, and beauty. The rest of the course was pretty non descript. Not very interesting to play. You needed a lot of patience to get through this course. Not worth the money. Other par 3’s are better value than this course.

This is a fun par 3 course, but the pace of play was so slow that it spoiled any enjoyment. It was so slow we couldn't finish the last two holes because we had another appointment.

Slow Par 3 - 18 hole course I've played before but this was ridiculous .- 3hr and 45 mins. to complete.

the course was closed that day due to rain runoff in the wash and we never played.
