Cimarron Golf Club - Pebble Par-3 Course

Haven't played the Pebble course in maybe 15 years. The layout did not seem familiar so not sure if they redid the course. Just our luck to have a tournament earlier in the day so there was quite a wait for golf carts to be available, cutting into planned range and putting green time despite arriving early to practice. The two Cimarron courses just changed hands earlier in the week but not sure this had any effect on our experience.

We had a 2:32 tee time and teed off maybe 15 minutes late after being told they were running on time. We expected to finish before dusk around 6 pm but on the 16th hole the greenside sprinkler came on and an attendant came around and removed the flags with 45 minutes of playable time left. We were not informed of this cut-off at the time of check-in and were disappointed we could not finish our round. Not likely to play either Cimarron course again but at the time they were one of the few options available on short notice.

I came 45 minutes ahead as I have a back problem that needs warming up. Greeted warmly as the gentleman said he would get us going directly. We waited until 10 minutes before Tee time where he gave us a cart. We hit 6 balls each before we had to tee off. No warm up, wasted balls, BUT we’re told he would get us going right away. We were much to patient. Very sensitive person at first tee got us our range balls $ back. NO WARM UP.

We were excited to play this course from reviews however we weren’t impressed. A few days before we played shadow hills par 3 course and we liked it a lot more. It was more interesting and in much better shape than this course. Although all par 3 courses can be slow we waited a lot on this course. We wouldn’t play this one again

The course is in excellent condition and overall fun to play. Water on the 1st and 18th holes only (same lake), and bunkers are not deep. "Fairways" should be cut shorter, but the greens are excellent condition (and very fast). That's the good news. The bad news is that they over-book the course. In fact, they ran out of carts and players had to wait for a cart to come in and get cleaned. For a short course, a round taking more than 3 1/2 hrs is ridiculous.

We waited on every hole, sometimes for as many as three “groups”

Starter showed no control allowing four groups of two to tee off without pairing up.

Nice course but ruined by extremely slow pace.

Very very slow pace. Took 40 mins to get a cart. Too long between holes. Very disappointing

We loved golfing here but were unaware that carts had to be returned by 5:15 . As you can imagine, our 3:50 pm reservation time didn’t allow us much time. We will know better next time and would love to return.

Played behind a 4 some that was placed together. One twosome knew how to play, but two guys put with them did not. Rules of play and curtesy were Not followed. Many times we sat waiting to tee off why they stayed on the green obviously finished. And no one was playing ahead of them. Also the 4 some behind us had to wait with us. Pace time was off by 20 minutes according to GPS but no marshal addressing this. We played Feb 17. @ 11:52.
