About
Conveniently located adjacent to the DFW Airport, Bear Creek Golf Club serves up two Ted Robinson-designed, 18-hole masterpieces that are known for their stunning topography and outstanding greens. And with both golf courses playing around 6,700 yards from the tips, golfers can hit long irons and fairway woods off the tee to keep it in the fairway, which is mandatory for a good round on these tight courses. Bear Creek's West Course is demanding early, and is significantly more difficult on the front side. However, the back side opens up and allows some room for error, making this the track of choice for the high handicapper. Nos. 6 and 7 stand out on the demanding front. No. 6 requires a blind tee shot and an approach over water, and no. 7 might be the most difficult on the golf course: a 380-yard par 4 that plays into the wind and also involves water. The back side has the signature hole, the scenic 180-yard 17th, which plays along a lake.

The course is in great shape. Greens are fast and the rough is tall and thin underneath so it presents a solid challenge if you’re not accurate or have good tempo with your putting.
My only criticism is that the pace of play is too slow. They need to either space groups further apart or implement another system of group size and scheduling to improve the pace of play. Tee’d off at 8:30am Saturday morning and it took 5 hours to play 18.
Great course!
Staffs are friendly & professional. Cart girl is available during the game. Just wish to have iced water buckets available to cool my head down with the 100+ heat..

Enjoy my round...course is good shape...other than airplane fly over ita fun course . I would recommend
Great greens
Course was in good shape. Greens were awesome!! Pace was almost 5 hrs. In this heat I might put out some water coolers to help with the fountains.
Old guard still great course
Mature course that gets a bum rap for pace of play

Great layout. Needs to have upgraded carts and a few tee boxes but great course to play….tight but fair
Tight course
The course was in great shape given the Texas heat. Challenging and tight fairways but overall a good course.
Will be back to play again.
Slow Play
1020 tee time. By 3pm we just finished 13th hole (and we left). Sometimes 4 groups playing same hole. Tight and undulating fairways make for slow play for many golfers, and “ready golf” is an oxymoron. Staff was understanding and apologetic. Course conditions pretty good. But pace of play was brutal.
Great track, I'll be back
Booked West, but put on East which was slightly unsettling at first. Very nice layout of holes, some greens aerated, which is unusual this time of year, and not expected. Other greens in great condition. Fairways in good shape but some rough areas around greens, off-fairway withouth grass and had you hit out of stones and red dirt. Should be addressed. Had a very enjoyable round overall.
