Staff not friendly.
My friend and I were paired with another twosome. After 5 holes, a Marshall approached us and told us we would have to speed up, that we were 20 minutes behind pace. We had been on the Golf Course for an hour. We finished the 1st nine 1:50. A group of members had come up behind us and called in saying that we were too slow, and the staff just went with it instead of checking to see when we actually teed off.
I won't go back.
Nice track, but lacks character
The course was in good shape. The greens had not completely healed from aerification and were really soft and bumpy. The back tees needed to be mowed as well. Course gave you generous room to play and everything is in front of you. Staff was great and very friendly. This would be a great course for mid to high handicap golfers because it's not too difficult and in good condition.
Weird experience
Great courses, terrible staff. I’ve played both tracks multiple times. Good layouts, decent conditions.
However, don’t expect a true resort course experience. It’s more of semi-private course where the vacationing guests are tolerated. I had a weird experience this time with the staff and members.
Courses change over the years. This course was not inviting to guests. I canceled my subsequent tee times after one round.
Try the Gulf Shores Golf Club.
Gulf Shores Course
This was my first time playing the course and I really enjoyed Craft Farms. Layout is challenging, greens were very good, firm but not too fast!
I only have two issues, I rushed to get out in front of a 4some. I wish I would have gone to the range as I had a hard time finding my driver during the round! And you need to hit driver consistently from the Blues..
The second issue or concern were the traps! Too much sand in them, they must have been recently filled? I sunk into them immediately! Of course if you don’t go in them it’s not a problem....
Great course, will be back to claim my birdies that I left behind!
Nice course!
A nice course very friendly staff a little pricey but will play again!
2nd best course in Alabama in my opinion. Fairways was perfect and the greens rolled true. In my opinion these greens are the hardest in Alabama. Play this course if you get a chance. You won’t regret it. Plenty of risk and reward shots. But if you don’t like water then don’t play here. Pretty sure water came into play all 18 holes. Little heads up on the greens. They don’t play as much break as you think it will.
Incredible Experience
I had an unreal and incredible experience playing Cypress Bend today which began from the time I checked in until I left. It was drizzling before I got to the course for a 1:00 tee time, but it never rained on me the entire time I was at the driving range or while playing 18 holes.
Part of the incredible experience involved not seeing a single person on the driving range or during my entire 18 holes and it was like a dream. I literally had the entire course to myself which has never happened to me before. The course was in excellent condition even after the latest hurricane.
I want to give a special thanks to Nick and Paola for being so helpful and kind today.
Enjoyable course!
Clubhouse under remodeling and course soaking wet from rain everyday but still in great shape! Can’t wait to play again!
Coarse Still in Repare
I’m a local to the area and thought I would play around on crab farms which I don’t get to very often because of the price. So this round was 60 bucks, and I believe it’s because I had just aerated and there were some repairs being done on the course. They did a good job of aerating the greens and overlay in sand but I made them not as desirable. And since most of your strokes are on the green, I just wasn’t much of a day for golf.
Grip and rip it
Great course for average golfer. Wide fairways and great greens. Fun course for any golfer.
