The Links at Bodega Harbour is conveniently situated along the Sonoma County Coast, only an hour from San Francisco and two hours from Sacramento. Its location perched above the Pacific also provides stunning ocean views. Designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr.in 1978, the back nine was the original course before the front nine was added nine years later. Jones designed a traditional Scottish links layout complete with rolling fairways and fast, undulating greens. There are almost 100 bunkers strategically situated throughout as well as thick patches of native coastal rough that are just waiting to swallow even slightly errant shots. The golf course is not long but it requires both skill and strategy. The final three holes are not only the most challenging, they also boast the most breathtaking views.

Take The Hike

The original mr chow review can fake a hike and save it!!!. This place is awesome and I’d wait all day on that 16-17-18 turn to take in what we just experienced. Those holes are fine being played slow, and the views having been already priceless were now more abundant. No way he waited an hour…

In fact played a 4th of July tournament here once and they said they’d mail results. They didn’t. But the next time I was there they gave me 2 sleeves of pro-v for winning long drive. Didn’t even have to prove it.!!

What happened on 16-17-18?

We loved the first 15 holes. Great layout, fun holes, and fast greens.

Not sure what happened on 16 to the house.

Starting an hour behind the previous group, we caught them and everyone else on 16 tee.

As we watched them tee off, drive a hundred feet, take their bags off the cart and start walking down the path thru the marsh. After 10 plus minutes and seeing them finally get to the fairway, we decided to go to 18 tee. There were 3 groups playing 18 and it was a log jam.

Needles to say we were out.

If they offered a nice 15 hole rate we’d be back.
