17th hole par 5 Photo submitted by glovesb on 03/09/2015
You'd better like par 3's
A good test for iron play, there are 5 par 3's on the front nine. The entire front nine is a beautiful walk/ride through and among the redwoods where accuracy is a must. The course opens up a bit on the back - you can actually get out the driver.
Overall, the course was in great shape: lush fairways, playable rough, and puttable greens.
I'll be back!
Food Service
Food at Golf shop was good but pricey and you'd better plan ahead if you want food to go before your game. I waited 15 minutes for a club sandwich, and there did not seem to be a lot of people in the restaurant.
Good value
Course was in good shape. Pace of play was excellent, only waited on 17th. Very pleasant mornings golf.
Neat course but terrible greens
I liked the layout and the shortness would have been fine also, but the course really doesn't get the TLC it needs(especially to be called a country club course)The greens were ridiculous,I realize they had been air rated recently(which they don't let you know) but these werethe worst I had ever seen with holes so large your ball would stop in them and even if you did shoot straight at the green if it hit a hole it would turn another direction,so even on a somewhat easy course it would be hard to make par unless you pitched up right near the pin.If the greens were in great shape it would be a fun course maybe, you can have rough fairways and patches but if the greens are no good then its really hard to appreciate a course.
Tahoe duffer
Rained, standing water on Greensand Sandtrapscups full of water.quit after 4 holes.not playable in Rain. No refund offered.Wont Play in the future. All they want is your Money.
Best Shape Ever
I've played this course hundreds of times.
Today was the best I've ever seen it.
The recent rains last month, not much rain in the forecast, the greens firmed up, everything was mowed and they are plugging the greens tomorrow, which means I probably played this course in the best condition it's ever been in the history of my playing there for the last 20 years. Usually its a cow pasture this time of year, but with the drought going on it worked out well. I brought my friend who is a rep for a club maker and a heck of a golfer and he was quite impressed too and said he would definitely be back. One thing though, if we don't get much more rain this season it it going to be a parched summer and fall for this course.
Quiet, secluded but lower-end
If you just want to play a nice round of golf without pressure, it's a great course to wind down and to relax. The club house is old and run down, there is nothing special about their facilities and it has pretty much has a local community feel to it and not a real golf flair. Stay away if you are a golf snob. It's too ordinary otherwise. Dress codes don't matter either here.. Buy a discounted round with cart for about $33 and have fun and just play golf. It's worth that discounted price.
Tough little course
Narrow fairways on the front nine but opens up on the back nine
Stunning Location
My wife and I arrived on a very wet Friday morning! No problems getting onto the course it was empty due to the rain. Fabulous playing through giant redwoods, greens where generally in great condition. Has a few challenging par 3s great for your short game. Had a few beers and lunch at the 19th the food and service was excellent!
???
It's probably the day I picked but, its challenging ok I guess.
Feel good course
This is a great course to build your confidence , its not long but you have to hit your shots or it will bite you you won't blame the course for your mistakes and the rewards of good play will reflect your score card
Nice little course
It's not a fancy place but you can't find a prettier course in the forest. It's quiet event it's surrounded by houses and condos. We really enjoyed our round as well as the other players on the course. We'll be back.
freindly
great moderate course, you need to be good from 160 yd par threes they have a few
well worth the Money
Went out on a Saturday morning and never had to wait at any hole. The fair ways are a bit dry this time of year just before the rains but not to bad. Greens looked better than I had ever seen at boulder. Fun little coarse.
Great day of golf
Had a phenomenal game of golf at Bolder Creek! We could have played quicker but my brother has had a stroke and his left arm and leg do not work. He was slow walking up to the ball but once there he hit the ball at a quick pace. Everyone on the course was more than helpful and the course itself was so fun. Did go back and recommend it to anyone who plays golf. Thanks Bolder Creek!
Poor notice
Course was airified without notification on the back nine. Not cool
A walk in the redwoods, not spoiled
an inexpensive, short course, tight fairways, layout nothing special, average condition, but... if you enjoy a walk among the redwoods this is the place.
Played with another Golfnow supporter and we both had a good match
Course was in good shape. Winter and spring this course is some what wet ,but summer and fall perfect.
Very fun course to play.
Had a good time love the challenge of the pine trees made me hit straight shots . I will play there again
The trees are actually Redwoods.
