Very Enjoyable !!
Arrived early, greeted very friendly, checked right in, and
teed off a bit early...Course in very good shape, greens true,
pace of play was good, just a wonderful experience... can't wait to return... Even given a few 'tips" by the owner, Mr. Bill Aragona..
Beautiful Day
On a perfect day for golf, we enjoyed the course. This course is better for the straight or fade golfers. Not much room for the hookers. The greens were in good condition, but some of the fairways need some grass in bare spots. Overall it is still a fun course to play, just tough to get to if you don't live nearby.
Great course
Great course. Narrow and challenging. Pace is play keeps moving. Greens are in good shape
poorly maintained
I used to live in the area and play this course often. It has really gone downhill on maintenance quality. Many poor greens and areas needing repair.
The Course is good for all players!
The course is Challenging for beginners but has opportunities for success. Beautiful scenery!
4 stars for the value! Very fun and always seems sunny in BC
Find the hot price for Boulder Creek at $14.00 and you won't regret it. Anything at or under $25 for a tee time here is great for me. The staff is super nice, great bar, old school but chill vibes.
Obviously the course itself is a different story but don't come to a par 65 course in the redwood forest expecting a "normal" golf experience. You'll be tested and challenged to hit it narrow, and there are some really fun holes on here. The par 5s are kind of a joke and my mom can probably reach them all in two. But again, fun holes all around, and the greens are straight up challenging, with some big slopes and sometimes tough to stick.
It's pretty tough for them to maintain the course given where it's at, so just play clean and place or whatever the rule is and give yourself a good lie if you're in a hole or bare spot, etc...the course is set up for you to have a great experience if you make it for yourself. Make the drive and support a great course and community!
Sweet short course with 10 par three's.
This is a sweet course in beautiful surroundings. Greens were a little slow but challenging slopes to them. Tight driving but since there are ten par three's you can't go too far wrong. Watch out for the stands of beautiful trees that come into play on many of the holes. Easy to walk as the men's tees are only 4,396 yards. Despite the fact that you have to cross a couple of roads, most of the time the tees and greens are close together. I definitely left some shots out there and will return. Can't beat the price and it is is very low-key so good for beginners.
Good value
Pleasantly surprised that the greens are now okay and at least up to muni quality
Trees everywhere
The staff was very friendly and professional! The course was short but beautiful. It's a narrow course with plenty of trees. A good course for practicing with your irons. This is a course were you can get an eagle or two because the par 4's are short. Overall this is a fun course that I will play again.
Fun Time
We had a great time. Got teamed up with another twosome. They were great. The course was in good condition. It is set in the redwoods of the Santa Cruz Mountains and the scenery is beautiful. There were a lot of balls knocking on trees as some of the holes are tight. It is not a long course but some holes are challenging. I would play this course again.
Got great deal on GolfNow
If you don't mind the drive through the twisting hills in the SC Mountains Boulder Creek is a nice relaxing course to play. Easy to walk with decent course conditions. Staff was friendly and allowed me to get on the course with absolutely no wait at all.
Nice course to play to get away.
Had fun very nice course to play and it was fast and Hot Day to enjoy.
Fun, tight, short course to play.
The course was in pretty good shape. It was cart path only on most holes that day. It's a fun, tight, short course.
Great Getaway
I really like coming up to this course. I live in Aptos, so it's a bit of a drive, but well worth it. Weather is great. An enjoyable executive length course that still offers some pretty good challenges. Try it, you'll like it.
great course to play
I am a senior player, This length of the course is just good for me. The staff and marshal are very friendly. I played with my friends from Connecticut, they are very enjoy to play there.
Great staff.
Always have a great time here. Staff is great. Even though the front nine was recently aerated, the back greens were in great shape. Looking forward to returning soon.
Great value and friendly staff
The Golf now special is great value for the weekend. Course is nice and sometimes challenging. Terrific to be done under four hours on Sunday.
Poor Conditions That Day
My foursome was not happy at all to discover, AFTER paying what we consider "full price" for Boulder Creek, that they had only recently punched and sanded the greens. The first four holes were so bad all we talked about was getting our money back. Putting through sand a quarter inch deep. And wet. We hadn't anticipated the course would be so wet and soggy but apparently the little drizzle we had in the area amounted to more up there in the mountains. What bothered us most was that there was no Aeration Alert posted on Golfnow.com. We would never have played there that day had we known. Luckily, the back nine was better. No sandy greens and drier. The greens (that weren't punched and sanded) weren't in bad shape but there are a lot of tee boxes that need some serious attention. Teeing off in pure mud is not acceptable. My advice is only play in the summer when there hasn't been any rain for a while and call ahead to make sure they haven't butchered the greens lately.
well maintained and nice golf course!!
This course is located in Boulder creek, which are surrounded with beautiful hills. Golf course were well maintained and the staff was really kind.
Fun course great deal
Boulder creek takes a big to get to from where i live so I only go if i can get one of the really cheap golfnow deals. It's the best deal around and i love playing this course, the only trouble is sometimes the pace is extremely slow and the tee boxes are usually in pretty bad shape.
