Woodbridge Golf Club
About
Woodbridge’s layout doglegs through some interesting terrain, with heavy woodlands, natural wetlands, streams, and meadows making the course scenic and fun. There are 15 doglegs in all, which makes for a tough, long 7,088 yards if you’re playing from the tips.
Woodbridge’s best feature is perfectly conditioned greens that vary in size and force you to think because of the heavy undulations.
One of the most challenging holes on the front nine is No. 5, a 429-yard par 4 that plays uphill through a tight chute of trees. The spectacular green is guarded by a waterfall on the left, bunkers to the right and rear, and a pond in the front.
On the back, No. 16 is one of the nastiest, playing over water that wraps around the green. Overhanging trees get in the way off the tee, forcing you to work the ball if the pin is tucked right or left. Rather than getting fancy, the best play here is to get it on the green and work for the two-putt par.
Getting there : From Dallas, take Hwy. 75 (Central Expressway) north to Hwy. 190 (George Bush Turnpike). Drive east to Hwy. 78, then north for 4 miles. The entrance to the subdivision is on the right, and there are signs to the course inside.

Bring balls !
I played another course the day before and had a career round. I couldn't wait to play Woodbridge the next day. I wasn't as sharp and Woodbridge was kicking my behind. I forgot what a challenging course it can be but in a good way. I will be going back much more now after not having been in quite a while. My game is better now and I'm up for the challenge !
Layout is beautiful, but course needs grooming.
Came down for business in the NE Dallas area from Iowa, and brought my clubs with me knowing I would have an afternoon to get away from work. The course has a beautiful layout and is a very nice area. There has been a lot of rain over the past 2 weeks here, and another inch came down the day before. So, golfing was cart path only, and the course was quite soggy. That didnt bother me at all though, knowing there was nothing they could do about it. That being said, I could tell the course has been a little neglected, and that is a shame. The layout and landscape is beautiful, and this course has a ton of potential to be excellent! Unfortunately, right now, it is in poor condition. The bunkers hardly have any sand, the grass in some places is more like mowed weeds than it is grass, and the greens are not pristine. That being said, I had a lot of fun, the value was good to me being that it was pretty cheap compared to courses at home of the same condition.
Solid
This course had it all. Gps in cart, friendly staff and solid well taken care of fairways and greend. I couldn't recommend this course enough.
Solid Choice
First off, only played the front nine. Court was inundated with rain and grounds crew could only get front nine ready. But, course staff informed us, discounted price, and went out if their way to accommodate us.
This course is a great value for the price. GPS and excellent greens (slow because of rain and couldn’t mow) made the day great.
I can’t wait to play it all. Definitely a course I want to play again.
Great course
Love the track. In great condition for this time of year. Highly recommended!
Friendly Course In Very Good Condition for this time of year
$25.00 rate for the over 60 year old crowd is great. The staff went overboard to accomodate anytrnig we needed.
Rocks on greens
I’ve played this course a lot and I don’t remember the last time I stopped to write a review for any round of golf, but today was sad. I understand punching greens and sanding, but there were literally thousands of small pebbles on every greens. So much so the ball would snake when you hit your putt. Disappointing they wouldn’t tell you or at least offer a modest discount for such poor conditions. I’ll be back to play when the rocks are gone.
Great all the way around
Course, service, food, value for the dollar, and everything about this place is perfect. Keep up the good work Woodbridge!
Always fun to play!
The course was in good shape, a little muddy in places but with the weather we have been having lately its to be expected. The greens were in good shape for this time of year.
Always a Great Track
Love playing here. Staff is extremely friendly and the course is just tough enough to make you decide to go for it or lay up.
Got one in
With Texas weather this winter, you never know when you can a round in between cold, rain and wind. Sunday was the perfect day! Course was in great winter shape.
Decent test of golf
Got off to a poor start by not paying attention to the GPS layout before teeing off. Once I learned to play informed I played better. The course offers a number of challenges. The greens are medium fast but putt true. The January conditions were such that the grass was thin but playable. Doglegs, drivable par fours, wide then tight fairways, one par four longer than the previous par five, all add to the challenge. Greens received shots well. Enjoyed the round. It challenges you. Forced carries and some heavily guarded greens. Will expose your short game. Sandtraps are the weak area. Overall four of five stars.
Winter golf
Always a challenging golf course with speedy greens. Not long if you play from the appropriate tees. Slightly muddy conditions with the Winter weather. Overall, great value.
Great course
We are rving at Lavon lake and discovered this great course a few minutes away. Love it.
Rusty rebar
Course was basically under water due to heavy rains. But what gets me is the lack of maintenance in the bunkers. I play this course about once a year and the same piles of rusty barb wire on every back of greens have been there for four years. Can’t they pick these up?
