Woodbridge Golf Club
About
Woodbridge’s layout doglegs through some interesting terrain, with heavy woodlands, natural wetlands, streams, and meadows making the course scenic and fun. There are 15 doglegs in all, which makes for a tough, long 7,088 yards if you’re playing from the tips.
Woodbridge’s best feature is perfectly conditioned greens that vary in size and force you to think because of the heavy undulations.
One of the most challenging holes on the front nine is No. 5, a 429-yard par 4 that plays uphill through a tight chute of trees. The spectacular green is guarded by a waterfall on the left, bunkers to the right and rear, and a pond in the front.
On the back, No. 16 is one of the nastiest, playing over water that wraps around the green. Overhanging trees get in the way off the tee, forcing you to work the ball if the pin is tucked right or left. Rather than getting fancy, the best play here is to get it on the green and work for the two-putt par.
Getting there : From Dallas, take Hwy. 75 (Central Expressway) north to Hwy. 190 (George Bush Turnpike). Drive east to Hwy. 78, then north for 4 miles. The entrance to the subdivision is on the right, and there are signs to the course inside.

Not for me
Wretched pace of play. Greens are punched and sanded. Overall course conditions subpar. Razor thin fairways. Don’t waste your time.
Great Day!
There have been reviews knocking the condition of the course, especially after several bad storms a month ago. This course is in very good shape and such a great layout! My first time back in over 5 years and what a great course!
Woodbridge
This is an excellent challenging municipal track. In better shape than most municipal courses in DFW and it is not easy. Tight fairways guarded by thick trees, extreme slopes on greens and thick rough. If you are looking for a challenging muni course for a solid price, this is the course for you.
U Come a Long Way!
This course has come a long way. Used to be unfair and frustrating. Now it’s playable and fun. Greens are smooth and has good grass making chipping much easier. Fairways are in good to excellent condition.
The clubhouse went from me practically pouring my own drinks to someone taking time to show me my seat after playing in the heat. Food was great.
I will be back
Great course
Haven't played here since high school. Course was in great condition and the greens are very challenging.
I will be back
Course was in great shape. The pin placement was brutal. Greens dried out fast and became quick. It was a great challenge
Average at best
it wouldnt have been so bad should the starter when we pulled up to the first tee, not told us how fast the round is going to only take 4 hours and 20 minutes and he expects us to do the same. well, it took 5 hours and 20 minutes. pace of play is horrible and they state they have a marshall but they dont.
fairways are in pretty good shape, so are tee boxes. the greens are inconsistent with a bit of sand and weeds throughout. not a terrible course but not sure i'd pay $65 for it again
Great play!
Overall experience was excellent, although muddy in some spots, everything else was great. Clubhouse food was delicious (shrimp tacos).
Difficult Course
Difficult course layout but in pretty good condition, friendly staff.
Don’t waste your time
Well first off we had a 12:24 tee time just me and one other guy. We show up to our tee time at 12:15. We were then asked what our name was about 3 different times by the starting Marshall. He then proceeded to tell us we were paired with another duo group which is totally understandable. We finally teed off at 12:54 and were at an extremely slow pace the whole day.
When we got to the back 9 there was only a group of three in front of us and no one in front of them. Nobody checking the pace of play and we waited several minutes on each shot. Had I known it was going to be that way I would have asked for a refund after the first nine. We finally finished around 630pm. $60.00 for this IMO is unacceptable and I won’t be returning to this course.
Pre Easter Round
Had the unexpected fortune of having a Saturday off, so loaded up the wife and booked a late afternoon tee time. Facility since reno is top notch. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Course layout has always been a fun challenge for me. As packed as the course was, as expected, we actually were ahead of pace. So that was a pleasant surprise for sure.
Now to the course conditions. This is the only reason why I would not recommend playing here at this time. The late winter rains have not been kind to Woodbridge. A couple of the greens have rather large bare potholes on them. The tee boxes are patchy and uneven. The fairways are in decent shape, but the bunkers on Saturday were hard and unworked. The greens have some sort of weed growth? My hope is that now the clubhouse renovations are completed they will now invest some money's back into the course itself. It was once a true jewel of a track, but it's been awhile.
Ugly course
Apparently someone decided to cut down a ton of trees along the course, supposedly to make it easier to let the grass grow. Unfortunately, no one has cleaned up all the waste that has been left by the trees cut down, making it a very ugly tract..
Green conditions were horrible, fairways were in OK shape for March.
Worst Course In Dallas Right Now
Took me 5 hours to play a round. I pulled up to a par 5 to be surprised by 4 groups on one hole! Pace of play wasn’t monitored and almost half of the fairways are straight dirt. DO NOT PLAY HERE
Needs more work
I used to play this course a lot until it fell apart last year. It's been a while so I gave it a shot and it's still not ready. The greens are trash and the bunkers have weeds growing in them.

Woodbridge has consistently had difficulty with keeping up maintenance. It’s either the bunkers or the greens, sometimes both. As for Pace of Play, they stack tee times and then they #2 is a par 3 which creates a backup on holes 2,3 and 4. Then there one green on the front with a steep slope which they naturally place the pin on the slope.
