Woodbridge Golf Club
About
Woodbridge’s layout doglegs through some interesting terrain, with heavy woodlands, natural wetlands, streams, and meadows making the course scenic and fun. There are 15 doglegs in all, which makes for a tough, long 7,088 yards if you’re playing from the tips.
Woodbridge’s best feature is perfectly conditioned greens that vary in size and force you to think because of the heavy undulations.
One of the most challenging holes on the front nine is No. 5, a 429-yard par 4 that plays uphill through a tight chute of trees. The spectacular green is guarded by a waterfall on the left, bunkers to the right and rear, and a pond in the front.
On the back, No. 16 is one of the nastiest, playing over water that wraps around the green. Overhanging trees get in the way off the tee, forcing you to work the ball if the pin is tucked right or left. Rather than getting fancy, the best play here is to get it on the green and work for the two-putt par.
Getting there : From Dallas, take Hwy. 75 (Central Expressway) north to Hwy. 190 (George Bush Turnpike). Drive east to Hwy. 78, then north for 4 miles. The entrance to the subdivision is on the right, and there are signs to the course inside.

Good course, poorly maintained
It would be a good course if one can manage to put a tee in on the tee mounds.
Hard and dry
Normally challenging! Significant dry cracks in play. Green were not as good in past rounds but playable. Fussy listening the day so play the grain. No marshal’s 5hr and some, Chaotic Chaos on #1 Tee, no starter and proshop stopped calling out groups.
Once we got going, luckily it was not 100 degrees.
Great clubhouse but that's about it
The course layout is really interesting and could be a gem if they took better care of he fairways. It has cracks all throughout the course, even in the fairway. Our foursome had to adopt a lift/clean/place just to make it fair. Granted it's summer but I played Grapevine the day before and it was in awesome condition. Saw the marshall multiple times which was great but they didn't seem to affect the 5hr round. I really want to like this course but can't for now at the $70 price tag.
Great Course and Challenging.
Great gem of a place! This course is getting in good shape and the staff has worked hard to get it there.
Don’t waste your time
Pace of play isn’t monitored. It was so bad, I quit and drove back after 4 holes. The group holding everyone back had TWO OPEN HOLES in front of them. It’s almost as pathetic as the green conditions. The layout is very offputting. It feels like it was forced into a forest. There’s 0 rough. It’s either fairway or forest. There’s debris everywhere from the storms 2 months ago. It’s a bad course. Don’t go.
Not for me
Wretched pace of play. Greens are punched and sanded. Overall course conditions subpar. Razor thin fairways. Don’t waste your time.
Great Day!
There have been reviews knocking the condition of the course, especially after several bad storms a month ago. This course is in very good shape and such a great layout! My first time back in over 5 years and what a great course!
Woodbridge
This is an excellent challenging municipal track. In better shape than most municipal courses in DFW and it is not easy. Tight fairways guarded by thick trees, extreme slopes on greens and thick rough. If you are looking for a challenging muni course for a solid price, this is the course for you.
U Come a Long Way!
This course has come a long way. Used to be unfair and frustrating. Now it’s playable and fun. Greens are smooth and has good grass making chipping much easier. Fairways are in good to excellent condition.
The clubhouse went from me practically pouring my own drinks to someone taking time to show me my seat after playing in the heat. Food was great.
I will be back
Great course
Haven't played here since high school. Course was in great condition and the greens are very challenging.
I will be back
Course was in great shape. The pin placement was brutal. Greens dried out fast and became quick. It was a great challenge
Average at best
it wouldnt have been so bad should the starter when we pulled up to the first tee, not told us how fast the round is going to only take 4 hours and 20 minutes and he expects us to do the same. well, it took 5 hours and 20 minutes. pace of play is horrible and they state they have a marshall but they dont.
fairways are in pretty good shape, so are tee boxes. the greens are inconsistent with a bit of sand and weeds throughout. not a terrible course but not sure i'd pay $65 for it again
Great play!
Overall experience was excellent, although muddy in some spots, everything else was great. Clubhouse food was delicious (shrimp tacos).
Difficult Course
Difficult course layout but in pretty good condition, friendly staff.
Don’t waste your time
Well first off we had a 12:24 tee time just me and one other guy. We show up to our tee time at 12:15. We were then asked what our name was about 3 different times by the starting Marshall. He then proceeded to tell us we were paired with another duo group which is totally understandable. We finally teed off at 12:54 and were at an extremely slow pace the whole day.
When we got to the back 9 there was only a group of three in front of us and no one in front of them. Nobody checking the pace of play and we waited several minutes on each shot. Had I known it was going to be that way I would have asked for a refund after the first nine. We finally finished around 630pm. $60.00 for this IMO is unacceptable and I won’t be returning to this course.

Woodbridge has consistently had difficulty with keeping up maintenance. It’s either the bunkers or the greens, sometimes both. As for Pace of Play, they stack tee times and then they #2 is a par 3 which creates a backup on holes 2,3 and 4. Then there one green on the front with a steep slope which they naturally place the pin on the slope.
