Woodbridge Golf Club

About
Woodbridge’s layout doglegs through some interesting terrain, with heavy woodlands, natural wetlands, streams, and meadows making the course scenic and fun. There are 15 doglegs in all, which makes for a tough, long 7,088 yards if you’re playing from the tips.
Woodbridge’s best feature is perfectly conditioned greens that vary in size and force you to think because of the heavy undulations.
One of the most challenging holes on the front nine is No. 5, a 429-yard par 4 that plays uphill through a tight chute of trees. The spectacular green is guarded by a waterfall on the left, bunkers to the right and rear, and a pond in the front.
On the back, No. 16 is one of the nastiest, playing over water that wraps around the green. Overhanging trees get in the way off the tee, forcing you to work the ball if the pin is tucked right or left. Rather than getting fancy, the best play here is to get it on the green and work for the two-putt par.
Getting there : From Dallas, take Hwy. 75 (Central Expressway) north to Hwy. 190 (George Bush Turnpike). Drive east to Hwy. 78, then north for 4 miles. The entrance to the subdivision is on the right, and there are signs to the course inside.

The course has seen better days
It was in rough shape. Oversees greens and it was very muddy.
Little rough around the edges
Course was ok the greens are in pretty bad shape looks like they may have struggled last winter. Tee's were moved forward on most holes over seeding I guess. I will probably not play there again this year.
Better than expected
Greens had some rough spots but they placed pins on the really good parts of the greens. The good part of the greens were very nice and rolled true.
bad greens
the greens were in rough shape but the rest of the course was in good shape
Enjoyed It!
All good ... some of the greens were cooked and in need of repair but otherwise just fine.
Nice course if you like terrible greens
Greens have been in horrible shape since the spring. They won’t tell you when you make a tee time or check in. However they will charge full price. The greens were really bad end of winter. Then decent early spring and then…they were in bad condition. One round only 3 were decent. Another round as we were starting on #10, groundskeeper said “the practice green is the best green on the course”. From the 10th fairway we could see the damage on the green. It only got worse from there. They stagger groups so close together that you’ll be waiting on #2 pretty much on most holes. Oh, then the Marshalls harass players to speed up the play. It’s been a bad year for Woodbridge. The restaurant is pretty good.
the pro shop attitudes are as bad as the greens.
Woodbridge Update
Typically I love this track as it’s always in good shape and very worth the price of admission. Hadn’t played it in almost a year but can tell you from tee to green it was just very disappointing. Ground was rock hard, most tee boxes were bad, some greens seemed to have been destroyed from lack of water.
This is a nice course but is in bad shape. Tee boxes in really bad shape, I have never seen mats on tee boxes before. Fairways, patches of dead grass, bare ground, huge cracks. Greens are in bad shape too.
Great place for golf and dining
Course overall in good shape. Greens are recovering from past issues. The bar and dining area are awesome.
Poor condition for the price & need a junior rate
I'll start by saying I've played at Woodbridge since 2008. Used to be my favorite course in the area. Is hoping with the belly renovated club house they would also be investing in the course. The course condition is very much like a cheap muni course but charging $59/person. The course looks very shaggy and Ill kept. What used to be beautiful trees and pretty sand bunkers are now wide open fairways with no character and weed infested moguls around the greens. The greens have allot of brown spots and sod patches right now. I also would like to see a better junior rate. With the prices it makes it challenging for the average person to bring juniors along on on a frequent basis. Would love to be able to spend more time with the kids and grow the game.
Horrible condition
I could not believe how poor of condition the course was in.
Seems just like a lack of care from the greens crew.
Course needs work
This course could be great if the greens were not in horrible shape. Also the tee boxes are either really bad (some have mats to tee off from) or the entire hole has construction on all the tee boxes, except the red. I hope they can get it together quickly. This course is in rough shape.
Greens need attention
There was maybe 2 greens that were in ok shape. Felt like carpet where there was grass. Lots of brown patches makes putting impossible. They need aeration and sand. A lot of the tee boxed are almost unplayable.
It has been couple years since last play when it was in great shape.
Appearances can be deceiving
Practice facilities look great! Greens and tee boxes on the course are absolute garbage! Not worth $55
