About
Located just minutes from LAX, Rio Hondo Golf Club is conveniently accessible from the South Bay and Orange County. Golf Digest has ranked the course as one of southern California's "Places to Play." The 6,370-yard layout is narrow and challenging, placing a premium on accuracy off the tee. Many locals consider it to be the toughest golf course in the area. The course features tight, tree-lined fairways and subtly contoured greens that are faster than they look. It's not a particularly long layout but the par 3s provide some good length. Golfers will face a variety of challenges throughout, but there is also plenty of scenic respite. Sparkling lakes and cascading waterfalls are scattered across the landscape, coming into play on a few holes as well. In addition to the golf course, there is also a lighted, 30-station driving range at Rio Hondo G.C.

Amazing course.
This track is super fun to play. A lot of tight looks but nice fairways. Hidden water on a couple holes. Greens were punched today but still played great. A little problem with slower play from some of the older crowd but overall great course will definitely be back. If I can snap a tee time Ofcourse.

All good except staff friendliness
Very rude staff, named Rob.. want to give zero on the rating of staff friendliness. Don't want to give each of us a cart. Three of us were not from the sam household.. Told us very rudely that since the carts are not charged fully the carts might die before the 18th hole. He sounded and acted like he was having a major bad day.. We would not have any problem if he mentioned that they are short of the carts in nice way. Regardless of what kind of day he was having, he shouldn't treat customers like that.

Really really nice
I was very surprised about this course. It s a really really nice golf course with very well maintened fairwayss. The greens were ok. It can be challenging but playable for any level. Also nice driving range

This Application is so bad
I reserved time on 9/25, but there is tournament, so i was not able to play it.
It is not Rio hondo’s fault, it is the problem of this apps.
They charged me convenient fee and game fee, but there is nowhere to claim this horrible situation on their app.
I and my client are so upset, I don’t want use this app anymore

Excellent course and staff
Course is in great chape and the staff are excellent and very friendly. Pace of play was good too.

Best public course in the area.
Gets a lot of use. Groundskeeper knows his stuff.
Pro shop is doing a great job considering the limits placed on them my the governor. Event center closed only food is snack bar.

One of the best public courses
This is the best value for the money. Course is in great condition. The greens were recently punched. Pace of play was OK. Tough layout with water hazards and lots of trees. It’s very challenging. If you play here enough then you’ll develop a low line drive shot to get out of the trees.
