Mather Golf Course

Fairways were great but rough much too thick. Need to mow rough down for faster play and less time locating ball. Greens had been punched ao putting was challenging to say the least.

Mather is always crowded, but it moved along. Greens were in excellent shape, and very fast. Fairways were well maintained, without many bare spots.

Fun course. Fairways and greens are in very good shape. Greens very fast and firm and true.

Pace of play was just over 4 hours - great for a Sat PM.

I'd definitely go back.

This is a good walking course, beautiful mature trees and a little elevation. Great views of the Sierra Nevada's, no homes, just greenbelt and lots of quiet. Even though it is on an old USAF base the air traffic is minimal and the noise level low becasue it is a few miles from the runway and up wind. The greens are fast and in great shape, as always. Nice driving range and good prices.

I love the outlay of the course it is very forgiving. It is one of my favorites.

Great winter course. Great drainage. It rains the day before and the course is dry and playable the next day. Course is in great shape for winter play. Fairways are wide and greens are fast.

Fairway's & Greens were in Poor Condition. Several hole's on the back nine were under repair thus limiting play thru the Fairway's. Not the best value for the $$$

This is a beautiful course. The course conditions were what you would expect after winter rains, but the greens were well maintained, and the rough was kept under wraps. It is a tough course for high handicappers such as myself, but the pace of play was fast and the staff was very kind.

Overall the course is drying out. Only six holes were cart path only. Some tee boxes closed, teed off from the reds. Greens in good shape. When it dries out will definitely be in my rotation

Got a great deal for a weekend round. Greens were well-maintained. The course challenges you because of its length. However, fairways were soggy and muddy. Cart path only restriction did not help with the pace of play.

It was a cart path only day due the the recent rains, and getting to the fairway through the wet grass and mud was quite a challenge. Suggest if you are going to play soon, walk don't ride, it will speed up your pace of play.

It was a hassle free check in. I'm not sure the name of the gentleman behind the counter, but he was very accommodating. The entire staff was pleasant. They treated us like we had been there before, and were not pushy. The course was in pretty darn good shape. Every green was as good as the last. The fairways were all mowed to the right length, and the water was pretty well drained off the fairways. It was our first visit, but won't be our last.

Good course for the price, but cart path only rule ruins it for some.........Yesterday (12.9) was exhausting as the cart path only rule, which was necessary made for extremely slow play and the course was really wet.

I play this course frequently and I have seen it in better shape. Greens a little bumpy and slow. Overall playing a 4 hour round on a sunday for 39 bucks doesnt happen to often so im still happy.

Liked the condition of the course, the time to play was good, a fivesome in front of us held us up on the front nine, and the greens were consistant but not very fast. Recommend having the practice putting green the same speed as the course. After putting on the practice green, which had a great fairly fast surface, I had to adjust to the course greens, which were slower.

The day I played was the day after the completed the aeriation of the green and tee boxes. There was lots of sand but actually wasn't too bad. A lot of the fairways were in not so good shape. That part was a real downer. A lot of bare spots in the fairway with minimal good fairway grass to hit from. But at $19 w/cart was an excellent price and the round only took us 3.5hrs which made it a great value. Hopefully they don't let this course go south. It has a lot of history and that makes it a gem if they can just take care of it.

The first 9 holes are fairy straight and easy for beginners.

This is a fun place to play with some difficulty but pretty straight forward and wide fairways.
