Horrible Customer Service
New to the area, came to play about a week ago with a friend in thoughts of joining. The course was okay, thought it would be in better condition being a private course. But the thing that got me was my range finder was stolen i believe by an employee. I played 36 holes and had to switch carts after 18 cause it was goin die, a staff member came out and switch carts, took mine and gave me a new one. I left my range finder on the cart that a staff member took in the garage. I realized it on the 2 hole I didn't have it. After the second 18 I went back to get my range finder and it was gone. Staff said there wasn't a range finder. I have 4 witnesses (2 members) that knew it was on the cart that the staff member took from me. MANAGEMENT HAS DONE NOTHING AND ARE DENYING EVERYTHING. JUST A BUNCH OF CROOKS WHO CAN CARE LESS ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS. I definitely will not be joining.
Update 05/11/2020 - I still have a yelp message not responded to and an email to the General Manager, Ron who has yet responded for about a week.. Talk about not caring. I have only talked to Brian (club pro), who called me a lier, and Ron the General Manager who will not respond. The customer service is horrible, I would definitely think twice about joining this club
So slow play
Had a noon tee time - so thought round would be quick-
Out to t box at designated time -
No starter- 7 people on first tee?
Walking golfers as far as we could see ahead- community college tournament/ pro shop forgot to
Mention- pace of play so bad - could not finish before 5+ hours
Greens in Great Condition!
Pace of play started out slow then evened out to be just fine. Nice course.
Rancho Murieta South
The greens were fast and smooth. I made very few ball marks even with well-struck irons. The fairways were lumpy, probably owing to dry conditions over the past month.
South Course - easier than North
If you pay retail it can be pricey but both courses at Rancho Murieta are very good. The south course is definitely less challenging than the north. Both courses are maintained very well - the pace of play is always excellent. Practice facilities are very good also!
Murrieta South Course
Awesome course, greens are consistent and fast. Love it.
Sunny and fun
Beautiful sunny day at the south course. Pace of play was excellent and the greens were awesome. I will play this course again.
This course was fun to play and challenging at the same time. I was surprised to find the bunkers in terrible shape. There were large rocks in the fairway bunkers and not much sand in the green side bunkers. I just hope they address this issue.
It obvious that they put all the money in the North Course. The South Course is way over priced for the condition it’s in. Sand traps are dried up rocK beds. For a course that doesn’t have a turn between the 9th and 10th and being 95 degrees. One would think that they would have more cart people selling beverages and they need to start excepting credit cards.
book early tee times
fun course over-all...but summer months are HOT HOT HOT..I would recommend booking tee times as early in the morning as you can in the summer months
Shame on Golf Now
This course should not be allowed on your site! The condition is the worst in the Sacramento area. The condition of the course reminds me of playing a course that has been closed for 6 months. I would like to demand a refund because I could have played 2 rounds on other courses for what I paid for this goat ranch!!
The course has seen better days.
The good part first:
The fairways and greens are in good shape.
The not so good part:
The bunkers are in need of sand! What little sand there is in the bunkers is compacted so much, it’s almost like hitting from hardpan.
The rough is way too high. I lost more balls today than I have over my last 8 rounds! I acknowledge that we’ve had a lot of rain up until a couple of weeks ago which made maintenance of the rough difficult, but the way it is now made things way too tough in the rough.
So much potential
This course has so much potential and the scenery/nature is great. However you can see they are struggling to keep the fairways and bunkers in good condition. Dried out and dead grass on the fairways. Its pretty bad even for the winter months. Most of rhe sand traps are hard as a rock with not enough sand. Funding issues are obvious. Sad because there is so much potential for this course.
