The Links at Everline
About
Designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., the Everline Resort & Spa is a delight not only for its great golf, but for its history and scenic qualities, as well. In fact, the Audubon Society has certified the Everline Resort & Spa as a Cooperative Sanctuary due to its commitment toward natural greens-keeping methods.
Nestled in a scenic valley with protected wetlands, the Everline Resort & Spa gives golfers an outstanding day on the links, combining challenging play with awe-inspiring scenery. Forced carries and tight fairways put accuracy at a premium at this course, which holds a mind-boggling slope rating of 146 from the back tees.
For golf travelers looking to make Squaw Valley their home base, the golf action will not disappoint, and the resort has four outstanding restaurants, as well as all the amenities any golf traveler should expect from this legendary golf destination that was a host to the 1960 Summer Olympics.

Tee box and greens need help
I’ve play this course 4 times since 2010. Invest in the course please. Staff is helpful and wants you to enjoy, but money needs to be invested in improving thre condition of the course
Great layout if only they would take care of it
Hoping the new owners will put some money into bringing this course back. The layout is very interesting but the tee boxes , fairways , greens and paths are all in terrible shape
It could be such a great course given the views and layout. New owners please invest in it !!!
Expected terrible, it was very nice and a great time
The course has only been open two weeks. There is grass and weeds in most bunkers, some fairways were burned out, and the wooden bridges are rickety. This is a great layout. Very challenging. The greens were decent, you could tell they had to replace several this summer. The seams were visible., but they putt true. A little slow since they are likely keeping them a little long so they do not dry out. I played on a golf pass deal and was very happy. Great value for our money. Maybe not so for the full rack rate. Our group had a great time. The par 3 6th is a gorgeous hole and the par 3 16th plays like an island green. A lot of forced carry’s on tee shots. Some tight holes. This is not a course to play if you can’t hit it off the tee. The rough is forget about it high, a bunch of marsh grass lines edge of most fairways. The. Staff were super helpful. Had two cold water bottles in my cart. Everyone was friendly and patient. It was a little weird having to valet park and walk through the hotel to the pro shop. Not obvious on how to get to the pro shop.
Links type course
The first 4 holes are in the forest and those tee boxes & fairways are in good shape as are the greens. Holes 5 to 18 are links with extremely high grasses on both sides plus water holes. This is where you will loose your ball so bring extra. Some tee boxes need a lot of attention as do the traps (just ignore them as G.U.R.) and some greens have patch work due to winter damage. Don't come with high expectations of shooting your best score.
Fun day at Tahoe
Challenging track with great scenery. Enjoyed everything. Glad I chose to play this course over other better rated local golf courses.
A waste of a beautiful piece of land
This course is located on one of the most beautiful pieces of land in North Lake Tahoe but is completely neglected by ownership and maintenance. Not a single playable bunker on the course. Fairways bare and greens beat to crap. Every other course in the area looked and played great at this time of year, so it’s not snow. It’s a simple lack effort that ownership is willing to put in. Not going back
Absolutely the worst
Absolutely the worst golf course ever played.
Tees overgrown, especially ladies tees. Bunkers overgrown, no sand..
The wooden pathways rotten, broken, and dangerous, missing broken boards. Absolute danger to life.
Layout has so many long carries over marshland.
This course should be ashamed to even be open. Especially charging the fees going ip tomorrow.
Do not waste your money
Brilliant Course and Friendly staff.
I was greeted by super friendly staff and after knowing that it was my first time, the starter Ken gave me an orientation of the course. Clubs are best friends today - he said. Super helpful and guidance. The checkin was smooth, thanks for GolfNow/Pass membership. The day was perfect and the course was challenging for me. Overall the experience was awesome, would love to play again.
Can someone explain?
Why? So many easy fixes. Whole place is shabby. Many boardwalk cart paths, old and loud and bumpy. Put down rubber mats for where the tires ride. Grass in all the bunkers. Course almost looks abandoned it’s in such bad shape. Brown everywhere, yet water flowing down from the hills so don’t tell me can’t get water. Greens bumpy and spotty like a rural muni track. All easy fixes, one employee out there weeding and watering can make the difference.
The course is in terrible conditions: tee boxes, fairways, bunkers, greens.
It should be closed.
Ummm….
Had to pick my clubs up from the club drop off point an hour after I dropped them off there, very disappointing, just leave them in your car and pick them up from there or walk them all the way down to the carts, no driving range and putting green was “booked” so very limited warm up in the nets. Course was challenging but fun, traps in very poor condition, cart paths were sometimes terrifying, lost balls to be expected on a links course. People were fishing on the pond on the 10th hole and waking down the cart path, decided to skip for safety reasons, no Marshall to be seen, also disappointing. Overall a fun and challenging course in need of some love. Don’t pay full price but worth a look on a hot deal
The course was in terrible condition.. Greens, bunkers, fairways,. None is supposed to play golf in these conditions.
Not worth the cost
The location is beautiful, but the course wasn't very well maintained, there was crazy grass rough all around it, the greens and tee boxes were very bad, there's no driving range, no drink cart, and generally just played like a lower tier course, but at the price point ($280 for two w/ cart) of more premium course. Tahoe Donner is much better value for the money.
Not even close to being worth $129. Staff was very friendly with getting me out to the course but once out there I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the golf course. Dead patches of grass on the greens, tee boxes not mowed, black tees missing on some holes, grass growing in bunkers, and the list goes on. Just an overall poor experience for paying $129. Will not be returning anytime soon.
Fun layout but course is in terrible condition
Everything from tee box to greens are in bad condition. Sand traps have weeds. Greens are slow. Definitely not worth $125
Most poorly kept course I have seen
I live in the area and came out to play this course with a friend who was visiting. I just can’t believe that people play this course. First, I know it is hard to keep a well conditioned course up here in these dry conditions, but this is another level. There is no real rough around the fairway, so if you don’t hit the fairway then your ball is gone. Also, I hit the fairway many times and still lost my ball as it rolled off into very tall grass or swamp. Even if you did hit a good ball down the middle of the fairway the condition of the fairways and the greens were beyond bad. There were holes and patches everywhere. The greens were the length of a normal fairway, so I should have been chipping instead of putting. The sand traps were unrecognizable because they were over grown and in kept. If my friend was not there I would have stopped and got my money back. If you want to spend 100$ to ride a golf cart, lose all your balls, and drink a few expensive beers then this is the course for you.
What happened to Squaw Creek??
I am sad to say, ownership has let this once pristine course go to s#!t!! The greens are slow and spotty, and the trap are atrocious. Squaw Creek, whoops, Palacades " is a resort, but the course is no better than the worst muni in your town. Oh did I forget to mention they have the gawl to charge $125 for the "privilege of playing there.
After finishing my round, I made my way to the pro shop. I expressed my displeasure, but that got me nothing more than an "I'm sorry".. And some lame excuse about the "Resorts" and new ownership..
Not what I call stellar customer service!!
I know that picture are worth more than words, so I have attached several photos of greenside sand traps... More like Waste Bunkers!!
lol no way. This course is a joke
