The Country Club at Soboba Springs
About
Soboba Springs Golf Course was founded in 2004 when the Luiseno Indians purchased the property. It had long been a dream of the tribal leaders to own this golf course, which borders their reservation. The tribe's leaders hired Cary Bickler, a disciple of the course's original designer, Desmond Muirhead, to update the layout and pave the way for it to once again be one of southern California's premier golfing destinations. The renovation included the addition of 25 new bunkers, a lengthening of the back tees and shortening of the forward tees by almost 1,000 yards to make it more approachable for the less experienced player. The Augusta-white sand that fills Soboba Springs' bunkers provides a stunning contrast to the lush greens. Water also comes into play throughout the golf course in the form of meandering streams and cascading waterfalls.

Nice course
Course is in decent condition, grens a little ruff from being airrated, the lay out is nice, the price is decent, I like the course and the pace, will go back often.
fun set up
We only played nine because that morning they closed one of the nines for work. They made things right for next time, it turned out ok. This is a fun course to play, not much trouble, bunkers were easy and my wife enjoyed it. We took a lot of pictures because views were beautiful and we had fun. We are coming back with a 4-some for golf and dinner.
Purchased two players online.
I purchased a two person package on your website.
Had a good friend come up from San Diego. Told him how nice the course was.
We show up and are told that we would only be able to play the front nine only. You would have thought the golf course and your website would have told us.

Very poor customer service.
Good time to play
Took my 4some out for a day at Soboba after players from 2 different SCGA amateur qualifiers told me that the course was in good shape. They weren't lying. They just had a Q-school qualifier out there for the PGA Champions and you couldn't find better conditions anywhere. I love playing the desert courses in the Coachella Valley this time of year because they are green and lush and the greens are excellent. Well, for half the price you can save an extra 30-45 minutes driving from the IE to play a masterpiece. You'd be hard pressed to find a bare spot of a bad lie. The traps are perfect. Greens are very fast and very true.
Get out there and enjoy. One of the best buys in SoCal at the moment.
It's ok if in the area.
Drive an hour to golf and was just an ok course. I would recommend you don't book online as its cheaper to pay when you check in. Not much for a club house selection. No cart girls. Would be nice to have some refreshment on the course. Really no one that worked there seemed to go out of their way to make me want to come back.
the course was in fantastic shape!!!!
Beautiful course and the staff was excellent, very friendly and helpful and can't wait to play there again!
The country club at Soboba
Soboba is always in good shape, we have never had a bad experience there.
Schwanky at Sobobo
Played first thing in the am for $35 on a hot deal. This is very good course in very good condition. The fairways are in great shape, the rough is lush, and the greens are tourney fast and tourney tricky. It is an interesting track that is well bunkered with water in play on several holes. Was so impressed that I happily paid $45 and drove out from Palm Springs again the next day. The facility is pretty amazing too. Would like to bring the lads here for a little competition next year!
This is a nice course, but it took two hours and twenty minutes to get through seven holes. I tried to jump ahead and find an opening but the course was packed everywhere. There was no drink cart on the course nor was there a marshal to keep things moving. I will not play here again.
A good course for your money
Given the previous cool & wet weather, this course is in good shape. The only areas that is in need of attention are the sand traps. The sand is packed (hard) and is in need of deep racking, and allowing the sand to be loose. Worth experiencing!
One of My Favourite Courses
A great day at Soboba. The weather was perfect. 80 F, light wind and the swing was good. Got a real steal from Golf Now ($35.00) for a 1200 tee time. The course was in the best condition I have seen it in the 7 years I have been coming down here. The greens were fast and the breaks were difficult to read. This was the only difficulty I found (my problem!!). The pace of play was good. We finished in 4 hr 30 min but this was due to the two octagenerians we had playing with us. If not for this we would have finished in under 4 hr. However, they were really nice folk and let's face it, at that age, it's OK. Definitely will play here again before I head north.
Nice course with no houses
Course was in good condition. Greens were fast and rolling well. Layout was interesting, but reasonably flat. except for a couple of holes. We had a slow group in front of us, and we were playing as a twosome so we spent fair bit of time waiting. Would have been nice if they would have let us play through!
The Country Club at Soboba Springs
Our four ball played here twice, on the 12th & then again on the 17th. We had to cancel our scheduled round at Oak Quarry GC on the 17th due to the forecast of heavy rains & possible flooding in the Riverside area. We weren't too hard done by as Soboba Springs has always been a very enjoyable course to visit. We've played here numerous times over the past 4 to 5 years & have yet to experience anything but a friendly reception in their well stocked pro shop & their full service restaurant. The cart girl always has ice to top off your glass.
It is a nicely routed course with good bunkering, large undulating greens that roll nice & can be "sneaky fast." It offers a very good variety of holes so you do need to think your way around the track to score well. Pace of play has always been pretty good. There definitely is good value for your dollar here.

Substandard
The course looked nice enough. Chose to not play, but my review is based on my previous experience on the round. The pro-shop was very substandard with merchandise. I needed a pair of shoes and a pull over because it was pretty chilly. Couldn't get it done. Selections are garbage and the shop is very limited for a "resort" style club house. I was also due a discounted rate, and was unable to obtain the discount because I booked it on GolfNow. So much negativity before the round that I chose to spend my money at Oak Valley instead. They were very accommodating and had everything I needed. It was a great day after all.
Must play course if you are in the Palm Springs area
wanna play again
fantastic views, perfect ,smooth, fast greens..this course exceeded my expectations.absolutely more than worth the 50 min drive from palm sp..with more than usual, the pace of play a problem..having said that i strongly reccomend this beautiful, lush.green all over course..not to mention the friendly, accomadating pro shop staff, the happy, friendly guy in the snack shack, and the super clean wash rooms.all more than excellent
A do again!
Best greens, subtle breaks, fast & consistent speed. Coots on two holes, but course is great value for the $
e
Some slow play on back nine because of one group that had no idea of the pace of play. Too much TV???
Coot Control
The price for the round was excellent at $37 with a cart. The course layout and difficulty are very reasonable. The foursome in front of us took their time and it turned out to be a 4:15 minute round. They didn't keep up to the group in front of them. The only other concern was the coots on the course. In some instances, they have the fairways chewed down to the length of a green and it is hard to pitch shots from bare lies. There are thousands of coots on the course.
Enjoyable Round
The course was in great shape due to the moisture they have gotten so far this year. Nice to see green all over the course not just the greens. Pace of play was excellent, no waiting at the tee box, finished in just over 4 hours. Friendly staff from the pro shop to the grounds crew. Will differently be coming back to play again this year.
Great condition & layout
Looking forward to playing here again on a regular basis. Greens are very fast, but in overall good condition. One of my favorites course designs with some beautiful scenary.
