The Country Club at Soboba Springs
About
Soboba Springs Golf Course was founded in 2004 when the Luiseno Indians purchased the property. It had long been a dream of the tribal leaders to own this golf course, which borders their reservation. The tribe's leaders hired Cary Bickler, a disciple of the course's original designer, Desmond Muirhead, to update the layout and pave the way for it to once again be one of southern California's premier golfing destinations. The renovation included the addition of 25 new bunkers, a lengthening of the back tees and shortening of the forward tees by almost 1,000 yards to make it more approachable for the less experienced player. The Augusta-white sand that fills Soboba Springs' bunkers provides a stunning contrast to the lush greens. Water also comes into play throughout the golf course in the form of meandering streams and cascading waterfalls.

great value
One of the nicest courses around for the money! It's in excellent shape
No aerification notice
Wish we would've been warned about the aerated greens before we booked this round. Course was in beautiful shape except the greens were unplayable.
They think they own the place, oh wait.
Course is laid out very well. Lots of water but none of the pumps are running so the streams and signiture waterfall were not working, disappointed. The cart guys are slobs and disrespectful, I actually watched one hit range balls at cars going by on the street. These guys act like they own the place, oh wait they do! Beware of the local spoiled Tribal punk kids who's daddy's got them jobs and are protected. Employees working in clubhouse were friendly and professional. If they continue to allow the tribal staff to run a mock, we won't be back.
Fair but could be difficult depending on pin placements
Course was in great shape, fairways had good grass but stay out of the rough !! Greens were quick, stay below hole . Everyone was very nice and helpful . Only slight negative, birds everywhere with their calling cards but really not a big deal.
My wife and I will definitely go back again, very enjoyable experience.
Better than expected
Contrary to what the recent reviews have said, the birds and the gifts they leave were not anywhere near as bad as what I expected. Really only came into play on two of the holes and even then it wasn't all that bad.
Course was in great condition, tee box to green.
The only somewhat disappointing part was the pro shop staff and the starter who seemed like they would rather be getting a root canal than be working that day.
Nice Course, enjoyed playing here
After reading some of the negative reviews my wife and I were unsure about playing here. The bad reviews are wrong, they have done a lot of work on this course and it is a great place for us to play. We have now played twice and will go back again.
A Good Course
We have played this course a few times in the last 6 weeks and it is in good condition. Some of the sand traps need more sand. Pace of play can be slow; we were a full 4 1/2 hours as the course was busy. We do enjoy playing this course and the weather was warm, so a good day.
Bring two towels to clean clubs from all the bird droppings
Used to be one of my favorite tracks .I probably will be playing elsewhere in the future.
The situation with the ducks is really bad The fairways are denuded and of course after eating the droppings are everywhere. What a shame, used to be such a nice course.
Soboba Springs
We were over 30 minutes getting started due to a tournament finishing. It was a shotgun start and wouldn't let us start until the last group finished on #1. Play was average after that. Weather was excellent. Starter a bit short, due to pressure from slow tournament play, I am sure. Snack bar staff were excellent. Course is in decent shape, but greens very fast. Just finished before dark.
Lovely looking course
All was great except the bird problem....Hard to put you're club down on the ground. Lots of bird fecies ! Hope you will be able to rectify the problem. Would like to play again soon!!!!!
Thanks
Linda
Challenging, well maintained course
Our round was delayed by a tournament and a late start. Our first nine was slow but play sped up as the tournament cleared the course. Staff were a little aloof at first but course marshals were friendly. The course was well maintained and quite challenging. The greens were fast with lots of undulation. Fairways were generous with few rough spots. We enjoyed our round. It was excellent value with the Golf Now deal and we will return.
Soboba Springs
Always nice to receive a warm welcome in the pro-shop on a Saturday morning. A 07:30 AM T-time helped our four ball get around the course in 4 hours flat. I've always appreciated the variety of holes on offer, a few risk/reward holes, a few elevation changes, fairways that turn left & right, short & long Par 3's and the greens are fantastic. Golfers can find good value for their dollar at Soboba Springs.

This course has not been watered......much.
First time played. Good layout. Obviously watering restrictions have hit this course hard. Spotty fairways. Hard and lightening fast greens.
Saboba golf
Very nice and the greens were incredibly fast. Staff was great.
I really wanted to like this course
Great price, attractive pictures, generally good reviews. Most reviews commented on two things: the Cout problem and the condition. My wife and I ignored those and looked forward to our day. To be fair, the day turned out to be extremely windy and when we encountered a two group wait on the 10th tee we decided to end our golf experience at Soboba Springs. First, we were impressed with the friendliness of the staff--so far so good. Once we teed off, we realized that it is impossible to overstate both the Cout issue and the course condition. There is a layer of Cout droppings that covers most of the fairways, not just the area around the water hazards. Also, the fairways reminded me of spring time in the north when the courses are just opening. Lots of bare patches (we bumped a lot). The greens are slick (they probably stimped at 12-13) because there was little grass (though the ball did roll well). The facility itself is beautiful, but you got the sense that the owners aren't spending a lot of money on turf management.
Great tome
For the time of year the course was in real good shape. I agree with the other reviews that the coots are a pain but are also found on many other Southern California courses. Overall course is a lot of fun to play.
Holy coots
Way too many coots. Course is in bad shape. Don't waste your money right now. This course can be very fun and nice. But it's not being taken care of. Coot droppings everywhere
Good golf test
Great layout and the greens were extremely fast but fair. Pace of play very good, finished right on 4 hrs. Two negatives, fairways were somewhat burnt out and lacking in grass. Secondly there were coots everywhere. Starting to foul both the fairways and greens with droppings. I would play there again.
Rambo
Enjoyable day with my wife at a nice course that was good value with Golf Now.
