The Country Club at Soboba Springs
About
Soboba Springs Golf Course was founded in 2004 when the Luiseno Indians purchased the property. It had long been a dream of the tribal leaders to own this golf course, which borders their reservation. The tribe's leaders hired Cary Bickler, a disciple of the course's original designer, Desmond Muirhead, to update the layout and pave the way for it to once again be one of southern California's premier golfing destinations. The renovation included the addition of 25 new bunkers, a lengthening of the back tees and shortening of the forward tees by almost 1,000 yards to make it more approachable for the less experienced player. The Augusta-white sand that fills Soboba Springs' bunkers provides a stunning contrast to the lush greens. Water also comes into play throughout the golf course in the form of meandering streams and cascading waterfalls.

It's an OK Course
The course is nicely located near the mountains, the fairways are grayish & full of birds (Coots) & make a mess of the course with their defecation. The greens were in a bad shape & full of leaves. The workers are all over the place mowing & cleaning & have no regards for golfers, finally most of the ball cleaners had no water or towels.
I only paid $33.00/round, It's not worth more than that, I certainly will not pay the $55.00 they ask.
too many coots!
the fairways are pretty skimpy grass.
Too many coots on this course , made for walking and playing through duck droppings all the time.
Staff and pace of play were great!
Nice Sunday golf game
Enjoyed my golf round at Soboba Springs. Pace was great even with it being a busy Sunday. Course is always challenging
Really fast greens
Great course for the money. Beautiful club house. Great layout, Big trees, really fast greens. Pace was for a 5 hour round. I guess that's normal for Saturday this time off year.
Drove from la Quinta as we were recommended this course by other people from our accomadations
The course had some nice holes, but lots of dryness and slow play on the back nine.
I don't think it would be a place we would rush back to but it was good to see either way. I think if the price was lower we might send other people down .
loving it
This course is one of my favorites. It can be challenging or rewarding depending on how well you place your shots. The greens were rolling fast because the senior open qualifier was recently held there so expect some 3 putts. Also it helps to keep the ball out of the rough because with the huge trees come piles of leaves that will completely hide your ball.My highlight was an eagle chip in on the first hole!
Car path?
It was car path only when I played. Although it rained prior to the day I played, the course wasn't so bad although there's standing water on some fairways. I wouldn't mind playing this course again.
Not Impressed
The management of this facility should be embarrassed about the pace of play on their course.Five and a half hours to play eighteen with a cart is ridiculous! Using frost as an excuse is unacceptable. We are used to frost delays in Canada and never experience this level of slow play.Perhaps a refresher course in golf course scheduling is in order.
Not worth driving 50 miles
Similar to San Dimas Canyon Golf Course. Fairway in bad conditions.
Great place, can be slow pace...
I love this place, but a 5 hour round is just too much!
Gem of a course
Course was great. The fall leaves made locating the ball a bit difficult at times but grounds crew were power vaccuming them up as fast as they could. Bunkers had great sand The pin were in pretty difficult location be the greens were quick. But it make my group really concentrate on our putts. Great course!!
nobody works here
Arrived early for our noon tee time, bag drop area was deserted, unloaded clubs, found the pro shop and paid, bag drop guy was enjoying a soda, asked him if he could put 4 sets of clubs on two carts, he thought he might be able to? starter then asks us why we did not check with him first? we dont work there.okay away we go.arrived at first tee 5 minutes before tee time, find three groups waiting to tee off, we tee off quite late, finish nearly dark.
Beer cart girl shows up on the 8th hole, she has been on her lunch break, just love having the cart girl find you when you are a hole from the clubhouse, but worked well as the snack bar was closed, door locked, sign on window stating back in a while?? cart girl finds us on the 10th hole and we appreciated that as we were dry due to snack bar closure. We ask her if she could find us in 4 or 5 holes? she advises she will, and she will then be going home.okay , fine, except she shows up on the next hole, when we dont need here and says good bye, she is going home, got thirsty, oh well.
Finish round, nobody at 18 to welcome us, clean clubs, gettip, ask how things went, etc, etc, like every other course we play, maybe we are spoiled? drive to bag drop area, still deserted, unload clubs, from cart and get vehicle and load clubs, clubhouse , pro shop, snack bar, locked up, found a door unlocked and used washroom, never saw a soul around, bye bye.
Good Place to Play
Greens have recovered well but the fairways are still somewhat dry. Took too long to play 18 holes though.
view
It was good maitained green condition. All staffs are so kind .
Course in great shape.
I arrived at the course after booking my time through golfnow. No one else to play with so I went out as a single ahead of a men's club tournament. I completed my round in three hours and five minutes. And that was because I played two or more balls on several holes. I could have knocked off 30 min's easy. The course was in great shape, greens were excellent, a few bare spots but what course doesn't have those nowadays. The pro shop people were friendly, didn't go into the restaurant so I can't say anything about that. Overall a great course and I would recommend it to anyone.
Great Round on a Hot Day
Even in a drought the course is 4 stars. Great ameneties , challenging fairways, bunkers to keep you honest, and greens that challenge.
Highly recommended.
Fun Course to play
Fairways not as nice as last time I played there, I'm sure that has to do with drought.
Todd
Greens in great shape. Most fairways were in good shape. Only a few were thin. Overall always love this coarse
Hidden Gem in IE
This course is one of the best courses in the Inland Empire. A little bet of a drive to get there, but well worth it.
The course was in great shape. Greens are perfect and fast. Highly recommended to all levels of golfers.
Needs attention
Fairways needs improvement/repair. Grass too long on the sides of fairways, very tough to find balls.
