The Country Club at Soboba Springs
About
Soboba Springs Golf Course was founded in 2004 when the Luiseno Indians purchased the property. It had long been a dream of the tribal leaders to own this golf course, which borders their reservation. The tribe's leaders hired Cary Bickler, a disciple of the course's original designer, Desmond Muirhead, to update the layout and pave the way for it to once again be one of southern California's premier golfing destinations. The renovation included the addition of 25 new bunkers, a lengthening of the back tees and shortening of the forward tees by almost 1,000 yards to make it more approachable for the less experienced player. The Augusta-white sand that fills Soboba Springs' bunkers provides a stunning contrast to the lush greens. Water also comes into play throughout the golf course in the form of meandering streams and cascading waterfalls.

fun
nice course,my wife and like Saboba but the cotton wood leaves are a problem even on the fairway it hard to find your ball !! But it is still PRETTY.
Enjoyable Round of Golf
Tee's and Greens in Great Shape, Fairways in Good shape with the exceptions of a few trouble spots, Bunkers are consistant with good sand, Greens were soft but pretty fast, Beverage cart was present and made numerous passes, Really enjoyed the round with the exception of Flying & annoying Nats, really need to spray.
Outstanding Value
This is the first time I have played Soboba Springs, and I found it to be a very inviting course. The pro-shop attendant found a group for me to play with upon my arrival, many courses will put me out as a single which means I am waiting on the threesomes and foursomes ahead of me. I took this as a good sign, the starter was I think having a bad day as he was not very cordial at all. The foursome ahead of my group had two players who had never golfed before and were attempting to learn as they went, it took several holes and a couple of reminders from the marshal before they let us play through. The course itself is well maintained with good ratio of sand and water hazards, unlike many Southern California courses, the sand traps actually contain a fair amount of sand and a true bunker shot can be played. The greens started off very slow and as the heat of the day wore on they sped up to what would be expected. The greens rolled very true with minor amounts of undulation to add some challenge to the putt.
Course in great shape
Great value.......especially senior rates! A must course to play in this area.
One of my favorites
Truly a hidden gem. The fairways and greens are in great shape. Plenty of water to wash errant shots too.
Great Course to play
Played it yesterday 7.24.13 with a 11:30 tee time.Very challenging course in great condition. Very good sand in the traps. Greens are FAST. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
Does get a little "warm" out there though.
Way above average golf experience.
Beautiful surroundings. Course is in great shape. Clearly they're paying good attention to things - maintenance guys everywhere and it shows. We hope to play here weekly for the rest of the summer. Easily worth the drive.
This course is a really great deal
From check-in to the snack cart, the people are really nice, the starter explained everything about the course, from the yardage markers to the putting on the greens. , Marshalll was very nice and the snack cart was always available. The greens were great.
Value
Good value, a little dry but its summer. Nice club house and facility. Would play again. Need to get the leaves in the fairways handled as they make it extremely difficult to find your ball.
Tough course in great shape, cannot beat the price. Soboba can be enjoyed by golfers of all skill sets

really like this course
I really like this course. It is challenging, yet it offers enough tee options for every level of golfing skill. It is also as well maintained as any course I have played in Riverside County.
Weekday round....
I have played here twice: Once was during the weekend and it was a 5.5 hour round and the other was Wednesday afternoon and I didn't run into a single group the entire evening.
I took my time and still finished in less than 3 hours.
This course is in great shape. Rough is long on some holes which makes it tough to play from (and find your ball) but the fairways and greens are very well maintained. Its also an extremely beautiful course. There are some VERY tough holes (7, 9, 11 15!!!) and also some VERY scoreable holes (1, 4, 6, 10, 17,). The 1 handicap is the par 5 5th hole but is a par-able hole if you don't play like an idiot.
Overall, I have fallen in love with this place. Only a few holes border houses, and it is the right mix of long, short, hard, and easy to be extremely fun.
Fun and beautiful course
Soboba golf course is one of the cheaper but definitely nicer courses you can play in the inland empire. If you find a hot deal under $30 your playing this course as a steal. Course a layed out really well. Lots of bunkers and water to make for some challenging approch shots even off the tee decisions. If you play this course patiently and golf smart, there is a score to be made here. Fairways are in prestine condition and greens are usually fast here. Roughs can vary in thickness but you definetly don't want to land in any of the rough areas. Fun course beautiful scenery.
See below
I could not believe they had the nerve to want to charge me for a cup of water with ice before going out to play.
Their men's club was on course- man are they slow.
I will not go back, too many other courses to play.
This course is set in the most beautiful location in the entire Inland Empire.
The surrounding mountains and many water hazards simply add to the overall beauty of this course. Though not extremely long, the course offers numerous challenges and rewards good shot placement.
GREAT TRACK. A LITTLE OUT OF THE WAY. NEED MORE SPECIALS.
COURSE WAS IN VERY GOOD SHAPE CONSIDERING ITS SUMMER AND MOST TRACKS ARE AT MINIMUM MAINT AND CONSERVING WATER OR DOING MAJOR REPAIRS. GREENS WERE QUICK AT ABOUT 10 AND TRUE EVEN THOUGH IT DOESNT LOOK LIKE IT. ITS TRICKY WHEN YOU CAN SEE SOME SURFACE DISCOLORATION AND YOU SECOND GUESS THE READ. ITS WORTH THE DRIVE IF YOU CATCH THE SPECIALS. AT TWICE THE PRICE WE WOULD HAVE CONSIDERED BECAUSE IT WAS 118 AT HOME AND 22 DEGREES COOLER IN SAN JACINTO. LOL
This course is very good one
Everything are good, only the yard sign are not very clear.
If they can color the stone then everything are perfect.
Outstanding course
Probably the finest course I have played in California. Challenging but very fair track and excellent staff. Looking forward to a repeat. Scotsman
