The Country Club at Soboba Springs
About
Soboba Springs Golf Course was founded in 2004 when the Luiseno Indians purchased the property. It had long been a dream of the tribal leaders to own this golf course, which borders their reservation. The tribe's leaders hired Cary Bickler, a disciple of the course's original designer, Desmond Muirhead, to update the layout and pave the way for it to once again be one of southern California's premier golfing destinations. The renovation included the addition of 25 new bunkers, a lengthening of the back tees and shortening of the forward tees by almost 1,000 yards to make it more approachable for the less experienced player. The Augusta-white sand that fills Soboba Springs' bunkers provides a stunning contrast to the lush greens. Water also comes into play throughout the golf course in the form of meandering streams and cascading waterfalls.

Great lay out. Great price.
Can't believe it only cost me $45 to play this course on a saturday morning. Great Track. Bit of a drive for pretty much anyone who doesn't like in the area, but it's worth it. The clubhouse is beautiful as well.
It's becoming ordinary G.C.
I would rated 7/10, after they drop Nationwide sponsorship the course is not as pristine as it was and snack bar close due to short handed staff.
Fast greens, HEAVY rough, tough pin placements, very challenging.
Played on Friday May 3, 2013 at 7:30. 4 hour round. Course was in great shape. Rough was almost too deep ,even in the first cut. Lost 4 balls only 1 to 3 yards off of fairway. This was almost unfair for a 16 hdcp.. Overall lots of fun. I will surely be back, soon.
This golf course is a great course to play and a good value.
Soboba Springs has always been a great course to play. The greens are normally in excellent shape and at a good speed. There is water on a number of holes and left and right doglegs.
The sand traps are maintained and have adequate sand
Great Value
The only thing I can't stand about this course is the drive to get to it! Play slows down typically around hole 11, it would be nice to see a marshall out regulating more often.
I really Enjoyed it.
There were 3 drunk people in front of us for 5 holes (8-12) but the marshals came out and told them to skip two holes because they were to slow. Personally I felt they should have done it at hole 10 when we were all backed up at the tee box, but they did do it and it was much better after. That did extend the time of play a bit, but worked out okay and I really enjoyed playing the course for the first time.
What a course
Played for $45 on Saturday morning when others want almost double that. This course is beautiful and plays very well. Stay out the rough.....
Great value on Speacial
Enjoyed it very much, will play again on several more times.
Course in great condition
We played on Friday afternoon, when we got there the starter was right on top of our tee time and immediately helped us out. We got out early and did not have to wait too much. Greens were in great shape as was the rest of the course. We played the combo yardage, which proved to be both fair and challanging enough for my game.
very good conditon. very good pace of play.
Several chalenging holes but not to the point of destroying a round. No preasure from behind and enjoyed a fun round of golf. We played the blue but will play the black on a return visit. The blue is a little short for our game.
GREAT C0URSE
WE ENJOYED THE C0URSE BUT IT WAS VERY SLOW TODAY. MAYBE A MARSHALL WAS NEEDED TO PUSH PEOPLE ALONG. I HAVE PLAYED THIS COURSE MANY TIMES AND IT SEEMS IT GET LONGER AND LONGER TO PLAY A ROUND. I FEEL SLOW PACE TAKES AWAY FROM THE BEAUTIFUL EXPERIENCE MY GROUP HAD WHEN PLAYING EACH HOLE. THE VIEWS ARE SO NICE AND COURSE IS IN GREAT CONDITION. JUST HAVE GOLFERS PICK UP THE PACE. STILL WE WILL COME BACK TO PLAY BECAUSE WE REALLY LOVE THE COURSE. KILLER KARL
course is in great shape
this course is well maintained and always a pleasure to play.
greens run true and fast
staff is courteous
Great course for the money
Course was in great shape. Greens were fast but true. Lots of water and sand. Wouldn't recommend for beginners. Will defineately go back.
Great course,,gret value.
I have played the course for over 50 years. Since it was purchased by the indian tribe, it is in great condition and really enjoyable.
I am retired from the country club business and have hired lots of GC folks.
Beautiful course
This is a great course to golf with different levels of difficulty. Staff were very friendly and made you feel very welcome.
Great value, worth the drive
Good track. Maintained VERY well for an IE course. Fairways were in great shape. I will go back for sure
In One Word... Inconsistent! But Still a Great Value for the Money.
I really, really wanted to love this course. It is much improved since I last played it more than 10 years ago, BUT it still needs attention in a few areas. First, the course needs either more signage, or GPS! Period. I couldn't find the next tee on several occasions. But worse, there are a few holes that have hazards, or edges of hazards, that can't be seen from the tee! Twice I hit drives that I thought were near perfect (near middle of fairways) - only to drive up to find my ball had rolled into water hazards! A sign, GPS, or something to indicate where the hazards begin/end would be nice for first-time players!!! Second, the fairways ranged from smooth, lush and carpet-like to bumpy, sparce, and basically dirt! Very inconsistent. The same could be said for the greens. All were fast, perhaps too fast. But some were fast because they were hard with short-cut grass. Others were fast because they were as much dirt and/or sand as they were grass. There were also a few greens with a combination of grasses growing - odd. The tees and sand traps were some of the best I have seen - nice. However, both the gold and tournament tees were closed when we played! This alone reduced my rating by 1 star. If the full course isn't open, it is a MAJOR issue, and should be mentioned in all communications with customers or potential customers!
Beautiful course with great features and amazing clubhouse.
Great course to play for the price. Would highly recommend this course to others.
fairways need some help and greens a bit choppy
no better course for the money in the area. worth every penny.
really nice layout
this course was fun to play has a very good layout only bad part is the duck droppings every where there is water, the staff is very friendly would recommend this course to anybody worth the drive out there played in less then 4 hours with a threesome at 9:00 am
