The Country Club at Soboba Springs
About
Soboba Springs Golf Course was founded in 2004 when the Luiseno Indians purchased the property. It had long been a dream of the tribal leaders to own this golf course, which borders their reservation. The tribe's leaders hired Cary Bickler, a disciple of the course's original designer, Desmond Muirhead, to update the layout and pave the way for it to once again be one of southern California's premier golfing destinations. The renovation included the addition of 25 new bunkers, a lengthening of the back tees and shortening of the forward tees by almost 1,000 yards to make it more approachable for the less experienced player. The Augusta-white sand that fills Soboba Springs' bunkers provides a stunning contrast to the lush greens. Water also comes into play throughout the golf course in the form of meandering streams and cascading waterfalls.

Soboba Springs
Rode the Blacks (6497/71.4/128) in slightly less than 4H with Kurator62 in our GK Cup match. The weather was in the mid 70's, clear and pretty calm, excellent golfing conditions.
Tees were lush and only the par 3's needed divot attention.
Fairways were lush and the few I hit were nice to play from.
Rough was very lush and thick. Punitive because of the thickness, for me anything more than a 6 iron was not likely to produce a decent result.
Sand traps decently maintained with thick, good quality sand.
Greens were quick and smooth. Very few straight putts on these greens, alot of subtle undulations. Even though they do not have tiers or huge mounds, they are tougher than average and ANYTHING down hill today was a putt you had to baby and it still might get away from you.
Good GPS on the carts. Decent range, customer service @ check in was excellent. No drink cart today. Very good layout in very good condition, definitely recommended.
Soboba Springs Golf Course
Excellent course conditions
Green Speed all consistent
Fairways in great shape
Plenty of consistent sand in bunkers
Soboba Golf Course
From the time of arrival to the 18th hole
The staff at the grill and the food was great
The only thing that I would recommend would be a marshal to keep the pase as it took 5 hours to play
Soboba Springs
Awesome course! Lay out is amazing, greens are nice and firm! Challenging but yet worth every penny. Highly recommend
A great day
First timer at this course and would definitely come back. Enjoyed the layout. Greens and fairways were in good shape, no complaints. Pace of play was perfect. Just me and my wife in our group. The foursome of young ladies ahead of us made us work to keep up with them. Thanks Soboba Springs!! Worth the one hour drive.
A diamond in the rough
Ion think this resort style course is by far the best in the san Jacinto Hemet area. By far From fairways to greens it rivals courses in the Palm Springs area to San Diego and Orange County. Definitely worth the drive and half the price of other areas. Stay at at the new casino hotel also at a vale price for an inexpensive getaway. You will not be disappointed.
first time to play since remodel
course was in very good shape...especially appreciated the quality of the sand...what really stood out to me, was the staff.....from check in to snack shop to post round bar experience....these are quality people- they really made our experience pleasant
Nice
Had a very nice time playing this course it’s challenging par fives are long a lot of water greens are fast fairways are a little thin but they are OK overall the course is in great shape
Great course
Greens fairways and rough great shape. All well maintained and healthy.
The only problem I could comment on was dead leaves on fairways and rough.
Tee box #4 hard to find.
Only had the opportunity to play front nine Very picturesque and well laid out . Staff working on the course including club house staff very friendly.
Soboba Springs
Rode the Blacks (6497/71.4/128) in slightly over 4H on a GN Hot Deal. Paied with Brendan, we stayed about 1/2 a hole behind a 4some the entire round and just took our time. The weather was breezy, clear and in ther 60's.
My first time here in around 25 years. Anxious to see the redesign that ag=ffected about 1/3 of the holes. Overall, thumbs up to the redesign. I remembered a fun, challenging course with nice greens and that was exactly what I encountered today.
Tees were lush and only the par 3's needed divot attention.
Fairways were generally lush and a few had soggy areas.
Rough was mistly lush and thick. Punitive because of all the leaves, took forever to find balls that we had a good idea where they were.
Sand traps decently maintained with thick, good quality sand.
Greens were quick and smooth. Very few straight putts on these greens. Even though they do not have tiers or huge mounds, they are tougher than average.
Good GPS on the carts. Decent range, customer service @ check in was excellent. No drink cart today. Very good layout in very good condition, definitely recommended.
Gorgeous golf course
Soboba is one of the most beautiful courses in Riverside County including Coachella Valley. A little slow in the winter due to the Canadian invasion. New holes are fun but don’t show up on out GPS watches. However, the high-end carts have GPS. Great course!
Great course
Always have a blast playing, the back Tees are a lot longer then they feel, never disappointed with the course, difficult at times rewarding a super well, sometimes though it is pretty slow, advise not playing solo
***Absolutely Amazing***
Beautiful course, everything was nice and green as it should be, great amenities and carts, would play it more often If I resided close to course.
Revisited after 15 years
Course was in good condition. Greens were nearly perfect. Played here years ago and everything is better with a new clubhouse and redesigned layout.
Soboba Springs
This course has been renovated since I’ve last played 2 years ago . It now has the best tee boxes . Fairways and greens in Southern California, Period !
Wow, what a difference . It looks like several millions of dollars have been spent to make this course a premier place to play . Absolutely beautiful !
Country Club conditions
The course is in top notch condition after closing for a month in October to perform extensive maintenance. Every hole is in beautiful shape.
Great condition
This course was in great shape. Greens were great. Fairways were excellent when I happen to hit them. Rough was green and lush. Played mostly out of rough and never hit off a dry spot. This course was in the best condition of any course I’ve played in Southern California. I haven’t played the expensive ones but a lot of the affordable ones. This was by far the best value. Would definitely recommend this course to people.
