LPGA International - Hills Course

I played the white tees. I have an index of 16.5 and my course handicap was 21. My course handicap probably should have been 16. It has a couple of holes with long carries off the tee but is very wide open and has large greens.

This course is playing well below the expectations. Conditions are not what you would expect from a higher tier course.

The approaches to nearly every green are sloppy, muddy, have tire tracks. They must have a drainage problem or else too much sprinkler action. Also the bunkers are not maintained, basically mud traps.

LPGA should be in line with a PGA tour kind of course, for the money they charge. The layout is great, but management needs to maintain it, and unfortunately they are not. I would still play it, but only with a hot deal.

I thought the course was in pretty good condition with the amount of rain we’ve been getting but the greens were so slow I could hardly get my putts to the hole. The cart staff was rather surly when I asked for ice in the cooler which I felt should have been in the cart already along with some bottled water.

Last played this course about a month ago and the condition of th3 greens have vastly improved! The course can be challenging for some golfers because of a long carry on some of the holes.

Very challenging and beautiful, need to keep the ball in the fairways or will definitely lose a stroke. Have fun and keep your head down!

The fairway was so soggy you could barely play. We ended up only playing 9.

The course conditions are AWFUL. A boggy swamp is the best way I would describe the fairway conditions. When hit into said fairway the ball wouldn’t roll, it just kinda lodged itself into the ground. You could cause a divot with a pillow, probably. Greens were slow to match. This place had no business being open. Beware if the price is lower than normal, because it’s more than likely due to course conditions being close to unplayable.

In great shape other than a most approaches are wet on the back 9. Leaky irrigation I bet.

Played here a few times prior to today and I liked the course. Right now, the greens warrant a $50 green fee. By far, the poorest I’ve seen anywhere in Florida. Ridiculously slow and very bumpy. Pretty much ruined the round for all of us. No attention paid to the bunkers either. Got ripped off at over $100. Paying for range balls at over $100 is also pathetic. No desire to return….many courses in far better shape for the same money.

This used to be one of my favorite golf courses. Unfortunately the beautiful natural woods that lined this amazing golf course have all been clear cut and houses are being built everywhere. So sad… I am grateful that I got to play it many times in it natural surroundings.

Don't pay more than $40.00 to play very disappointed . Always played here before the conditions were always great not anymore.

Played the Hills course today. The course was in great shape. A little wet in spots. Overall another great day to be alive.

I have played here many times but not for several months as the course is just too expensive. The rates fluctuate on demand. Got a good rate today. Although the course is a very good layout, it is very, very tough for golfers who can't carry their ball a long distance. The tee boxes were very good. The fairways were dry and were turning brown in a lot of spots. The greens had been aerated not long ago but that was not my complaint. I just felt that the "new" greens they installed are not that nice. At least three were in below average shape. And my biggest complaint were the extremely wet conditions in front of the greens. No ball could roll onto the green if you hit it a bit short. Made it unfair. I recommend the course but not for short hitters.
