Golfer Reviews
Cart Girl
Played all 18 holes and never saw a beverage cart girl?
Nice Layout and good condition
New greens are good size however they are compacted and hard to stick a ball on it. They are rolling a little slow. All in all, will be very nice later in the year!
Better than expected
We have played the Jones Course several times and decided to try the Hills Course. Pleasantly surprised! Other than the scenery destroyed by new development, this is a hidden gem. The course is in good shape. Loved the greens. They rolled true and were not too fast. Sand traps held water after a weekend of rain. Otherwise they looked sandy enough to get out of with ease. The fairways were narrower which made this course more of a challenge than the Jones course. Also it is more of a links course with several holes driving over areas of grasses. After our round we have decided we like the Hills course better than the Jones course (which is saying something).
Overall just great!
Your starters are great, friendly and work hard to maintain pace of play!
Missing Big Course features
Right out of the gate, realized some things were missing. Very little ‘staging area’ signage. No one in bag drop area to answer questions like… where is the range? Will a starter meet me/ pair me up … no starter ever!?! Never saw a single ranger… didn’t see the cart girl until we were on 16…!Pro shop was ( apparently) closed at 5 when we finished!?… wanted to get a shirt or hat… never saw a ball washer… home construction area was very distracting, I realize it’s unavoidable, but might be worth a $10+-
Consideration.?? Nowhere to get anything “ at the turn”??
Loved the greens. I guess it’s supply and demand that gets you >$100.. but I was mildly disappointed. I sponsored the Lady Keystone in Hershey in the 90’s.
Carts have issues
Overall good experience. Course in good shape. Greens a little slow but roled true and well. Only real negative is the carts are in horrible shape. Often braking down and in poor condition. One would think for the premium the course demands its carts would be newer and in better condition.
Great first time playing there
Courses in excellent condition. The only downside was that they were way too crowded and had to wait past our teatime for a cart. Otherwise, the course was very playable and had a great time out. There will be back again.
Urbanization compromising its essence
For those of us lucky enough to have played the course before new construction began, seeing all the new houses has really taken away some of its original essence.. The Hills course “remote” feel used to make this course if not the most best one of the best courses in the area. Still a great track with well kept fairways and greens. Highly recommended.
