LPGA International - Hills Course

the course was in almost shape, greens rolled as expected. Had golf cart shortages at 2:30 in the afternoon on a sunday and was late to the tee box by ten minutes.

Played the Hills course, was in very good condition, staff was very friendly and helpful and 19th hole enjoyable!

I wish courses posted when they sanded their greens. Such a nice course when no bouncing on sand

Very disappointed! When you rent clubs and reserve just one tee time the staff should realize you are a first time player especially as a single .. stands to reason that they would be more welcoming? Well they are not!

All the staff I interacted with this morning and when I finished seemed disinterested or unfriendly .. When you play an LPGA course and rent clubs also seems like you would get a new 2022 premier set of clubs. Not 3 year old banged up Titleist with no head covers .. did not improve my mood with flavorless Turkey sandwich at 10th hole …. Loved the cart girl - she was friendly and the Jack Daniels was good.

First bad review I have written

Course was very good, but our cart had to be replaced twice because of low battery issues. Also, it was a hot day and most of the water stations had no water.

To much rain lately course should have been closed, we stop playing after 11 holes

Preface: I love both courses at LPGA. I'm a regular. Still will be as long as they remain in good shape. Played Jones over the last couple of months. Haven't been on Hills for a bit and was saddened by what I saw. Hills used to be a nice time out in nature. Not anymore. They've razed any land they can. Totally destroyed the feeling you're out in nature. Not shocked at all, just disappointed they've ruined the esthetic in search of development. Very wet, but course is in good shape. Hope it remains that way and doesn't go the way of Victoria Hills.

The course should have been closed, everything was terribly wet. Every tee shot stopped dead in the fairway, one shot landed and it took me ten minutes to find it as it buried itself. No ball wash stations so my clubs and balls were completely muddy the whole round as my towel was covered in dirt. My feet were soaked and it just wasn't worthwhile. A lot of the sand traps were underwater or the bottoms were hard sand from water. Thanks for taking my money, sometimes you just need to shutdown for a few days to let things dry out.

The Hills course is harder of the 2. Played the Jones course earlier in week. Still lacking in the small details you get from really nice resorts. It was raining off and on all day, so not much I can say on the course. This is the LPGA International and they did not have women’s rental club available. They said prior to us coming that they did have lady’s rental clubs but they were just men’s. I confirmed with the guys in the cart barn and they said no women’s sets. Disappointing that LPGA would not cater for women at all. Still would come back and play golf here.

Course was well manicured, as always. Played behind Stetson University’s golf tryouts today. Even though we caught them often, pace of play was still under 4 hours to get round in. They were polite and even asked if we wanted to play through. I hope they all make the team.

If you are new to the area this facility is the best Daytona has to offer. I highly recommend playing here.

It was a great day except for the 4 drunks ahead of us.
