Tough but fair

This is a challenging but fair golf course. Lots of dog leg holes with abundant lateral hazards (water and woods). Greens had been recently top-dressed making the greens more difficult to read which lead to the 4 star conditions rating. Otherwise it is very well maintained. Staff was helpful and polite.

Beautiful but tough!

I feel this is one of the best layouts of any course I have played. There is stunning scenery all around you. However, if you play off the back tees, trouble is never far from the fairways

Very disappointed!

The staff at this course need to take a lessons in customer service. They were slow at meeting me at the bag drop off area, and did not even greet me with a hello or good day. The staff in the pro shop were laughing in customers' faces and I found it difficult getting direction from staff on how to get to the first tee and warm up range.

The warm up area was like a sand box but the chipping and putting areas were in great shape.

To use the wasrhooms on the course you require a code to get in, but no one in my foursome were given a code. There are no ball washers or trash cans at the tee boxes, so there is lots of litter in the bushes and trees.

And to top it all off the carts were dirty. I am glad I got a deal on Golf Now to play this course. In my opinion it not worth $120 to play.

You’re playing in nature

This course is phenomenal.I remember maybe 2 holes with houses on the hole. Majority of them are completely surrounded by trees and nature.

Impeccable conditions. Wide fairways, but not much run off if you miss. Watch out for the hidden creek on 18, a tricky hole to end your round on.

Great practice facilities too.

Only issue was the pace of play. Not sure if it was the group in front, spacing/timing of tee times or the difficulty that dragged the pace down but a 5 hour round makes it tough to maintain any sort of consistency.

Even then, I can’t wait to come back. The views while waiting are fantastic.

Very consistent!

The range is their only downfall… the turf is too soft. Hard to warm up in a surface that feels like a bunker with a grass coat on the top…

Course- tee boxes were excellent, fairways were excellent, greens had a few bumps but were rolling decent and the speed was a hair slow to what we are use to.

Definitely gonna keep coming back! Only an hour drive for a great course.

Slow Play and No Limes at the Nineteeth Hole

Usually this course plays at a better than average pace, but today it was a five hour round! Then, when we stopped in the bar for after-golf drinks, we were told, "We are out of limes". Today was hopefully a one-day stumble and not an indication of downward trend.

Shouldn't book public tee times during college practice round.

I haven't played the HIlls course in 10 years and was really looking forward to the round. In fact I arrived extra early to warm up. The course conditions, staff and amenities were all good except for the cart I was assigned. Unfortunately my tee time followed the practice round of 10+ women college teams preparing for a tournament. The course was filled with groups of six-somes + coaches practicing. Each green had three designated future pin placements where member would practice putts/chips. It took forever for them to clear the green. The first three holes went quickly but then we hit a wall. The group in front of me were so angry they quit after 8 holes. I estimate my tee time was scheduled about 30 minutes behind the last group of college players but feel LPGA shouldn't offer public tee times until the last group was at least through the front nine. Between practice and golf I was at the facility for around 6.5 hours which is way longer than I anticipated.
