Bring your driver
Some of the tee shots are very challenging with carries of 160 to 180 yards. As an older golfer I am having more difficulty in carrying the necessary distances = but still fun trying. Love the layout as there are no houses on this 18 to interfere with your thought process. As it was spring, we did manage to see an Eastern Diamondback on #10 cart path. Just saying!! As always the course is a treat to play.

Course was fun to play with some challenging tee shots .As an older golfer who carries the ball about 175 yards some tee shots were tough - but I survived. Only lost one ball. Make sure you play the appropriate tees

Super slow is an understatement
The course is in great condition and the grounds crew should be commended, since it is extremely overplayed.
However, the pace of play is just terrible. Nobody wants to play a 5 1/2 hour round, and a 3 hour front nine makes you sick. I wish I would have read the reviews because I would not have played this course yesterday if I had. The carts are super old and need some maintenance. Pay top dollar for a poorly managed course is extremely frustrating.

Great course but
There was a college tournament the day we played.
It took 3 hours to play 9 holes.
When we arrived there was a shortage of carts
The workers at the bag drop were overwhelmed.
There was no organization for the assignment of carts
It was a free for all!!! We were on our own and while it worked out at the end I there should have been someone there to control the situation

I’d try it again
The pace was very slow (5 1/2 hours) which ruined the game. At one point there was 4 groups on one hole. Apparently the Marshalls go home at 1pm. They need to stay longer or it won’t be worth playing again.

Busy, short staffed
Upon pulling up, no one there at bag drop, about 10 people waiting for carts, after a couple mins., an exasperated employee emerged, obviously short staffed and clearly not enough carts.
