Bonaventure Golf Club

Best shape I have seen this course in years. Actually playable now.

Played end of December Florida golf…what’s is there to complain about….Greens were slow so took couple holes to get the feel. Golf course is busy so pace of play is slow for some people. Enjoy the sun and the local wildlife. Birds, Iguanas, Turtles. Good value.

Played on Christmas Day and it was not crowded at all! The coarse was in pretty good shape except for a few greens. Overall, it was a great coarse!

Late round of golf Saturday afternoon with friend. The Beverage cart was still out keeping everyone hydrated. All the greens on the front 9 are looking good.

I played today with a friend at 3:00. We almost finished the round but encountered three foursomes in front of us. Another golfer joined us and we had a great finish. Ugh, I also pared 18.

The putts are running fast these days. The course is improving everyday. Nothing you might have encountered just six months ago.

Most of the suspect reviews I see must have this course confused with somewhere else.

This course has become very busy so be sure to get a tee time if you want to play in the morning.

Times are a changing at Bonaventure!

The course is in a way better shape than it was the previous 5 or 6 years. Greens are way better and the fairways as well. Congratulations for that !

The problem is that it plays too long. It is not woman friendly at all. 5,250 yards is long enough. But the distances are wrong. It is always measured directly from the tee off to the green but many many holes, you have to go around a lake and it makes the course way longer that was it says, cutting the fun playing it.

This also applies to Senior tee-offs.

Hopefully something will be done for women and seniors. Otherwise, we unfortunately won’t go back for these reasons.

Finally, it is not surprising then that it takes so long to play the course…

The three of us, none being good golfers, loved the course. Sure, there were patches here and there but we loved playing the course.

We have passed this over in the past based on reviews but glad we gave it a shot.

The staff was also very friendly and helpful, a pleasure to deal with even when we were the last on the course near darkness, they said play until you finish.

We will be back.

Course is not in good shape. Green are bare or disease. Tee boxes are trash.

Staff was fantastic right from the Pro shop to the team outside, Marshals were very easygoing and the cart service was the best that we experienced all week. Very enjoyable round.

Its an awesome course, lots of water and narrow fairways. Can be slow but lots of fun.

My pay and tee'ed off today at 8:30. The twosome in front of were great golfers so they did not slow us down at all. We even had a Ranger and cart girl out of the course today. Greens were mowed and the Tee Boxes were in great shape. I posted a couple of pictures of the rebuilt 5th and 17th greens. Lots of golfers on the course after we played as the parking lot was semi-full. We went to the bar and had two drafts.

All good at Bonaventure today...

Nice course, lots of water, fast greens. Slow play. Be prepared for at least a 4-hour round. The course needs a warden to move play along. Take a few minutes to look for your ball, drop and move on.

I booked an early tee time for me and my coworkers. The staff was very helpful getting us going, since it was our first time at Bonaventure. I’d heard a lot of negative thing about the course but the seemed to be exaggerated. The tee boxes and the greens were probably 3/5 but overall the course was pretty nice. I loved the layout and the waterfall. Unfortunately the snack shack still wasn’t opened after our first 9 and the restaurant was closed after we finished.
