We booked flights yesterday from Milwaukee to Fort Lauderdale for a quick golf trip, without tee times! I spent a couple hours on the plane searching GolfNow and the recent reviews for Bonaventure were very favorable relative to most every other course I looked at….AND for a better price! The reviews said new ownership has put money into the course and it absolutely shows. We were thrilled. Greens were fast and true, frankly that’s what matters about course condition. We played on a rainy wet day and yet the greens were pure. After 18 we wanted more…the staff accommodated us with a very reasonable replay fee. Fantastic layout, demanding tee shots from the tips with balance of risk/reward, excellent bunkers, fantastic staff, awesome halfway house for food & drink, and great greens!!! If you aren’t impressed with the value after a round at Bonaventure, I don’t want you in my 4some because you are clearly a moron! Looking forward to playing again!

The place is coming back I love it. Great course layout, My biggest complain is the greens, They look great but they need to be tier and mowed, Ball are running too slow and if you have a good put get ready ball may cut left or right for the reason mention

This course was let go for a long time. It was sold I thought they would build houses there but the people that bought the course turned it around they put lots of money back in to the course

This course was beautiful and well-maintained. The price for the course was just right. They had great chipping areas to warm up with. There was ample space to practice and it was cool that they left several baskets around for you to grab and practice. The driving nets need a little update. They don't officially have a Driving range, but they do have some net setups that still allow you to warm up your clubs with a few swings. You really need to try this course. It's a beautiful course.

Found this on Golf Now and read how improvements were ongoing. Overall, the course was good. Lost of the greens were in good shape, a few had repairs ongoing.

Fairways were decent, some thin areas but ok overall. The course has a lot of water!

We played in just over 4 hours so pace was ok as well.

I will be back to see the progress in the next couple months.

This course has improved dramatically under new course maintenance who knows what they are doing. Love this course but it's very challenging. This is my preferred course now. They need to improve tee off times so that you are able to actually start on your tee time. Bunkers also need to improve. Carts need to have sand to fill divots. Most players here don't seem to understand that you should repair your divots on the green. Staff need to enforce these things so their hard when is not ruined by bad etiquette. As long as the pace is maintained, it's a good course to play. You'll need to manage the course well to score well. Staff is very welcoming and friendly.

Great job getting this course back in shape from where it was. Always has been a great layout. Now it’s definitely worth playing.

This golf course was $60 to play 18 holes. It was my dads bday, so I figured "why don't me and the boys go out for a round of golf?". Maybe a nice course too! This place seems to fit what we were looking for. NOPE!!!

The course is the equivalent of being catfished by a fat girl on Tinder. Their drainage system is horrible. 90% of the holes have standing water. All of the greens have 100s of unfixed divots. Don't get me started on the tee boxes either. I mean, I tee up all of my shots so the grass isn't that important on the tee boxes, but it doesn't help the aesthetic of the course.

Help yourself and don't waste your time or money.

Condition improved widely course looking like old Bonaventure condition we used to know will go back play again soon. Kudos to whole staff to bring this gem back

Best shape I have seen this course in years. Actually playable now.

Played end of December Florida golf…what’s is there to complain about….Greens were slow so took couple holes to get the feel. Golf course is busy so pace of play is slow for some people. Enjoy the sun and the local wildlife. Birds, Iguanas, Turtles. Good value.

Played on Christmas Day and it was not crowded at all! The coarse was in pretty good shape except for a few greens. Overall, it was a great coarse!
