Bonaventure Golf Club (formerly known as Bonaventure Country Club) is a classic Florida layout with holes routed through strands of mature palms and hardwoods, and around numerous water hazards and expansive bunkers. This course, designed by Joe Lee, is also called the Green Monster. Some people call it the Cascade Course because of the waterfall on the picturesque 160-yard, par-3 third. This signature hole has a waterfall that stretches across the front of the green.

The course is in very poor condition the green were some of the worst I have played on. The staff was very kind and hospitable!

Worst Greens and Tee Boxes I’ve Ever Played

The reviewer stating this course was re-done must be living in 1930. The greens and tee boxes were in extraordinarily bad shape— especially the greens! There was this green spray throughout every green-making it impossible to hit a decent putt.

I won’t play here again.

Not worth the $.

No money getting put back into the course, but only someone’s pocket.

The course could be awesome with some TLC.

Not looking like that will happen any time soon.

The staff was super nice almost to nice where I was feeling bad for them, thinking this course is on its last leg ready to close.

FYI- not a single course greens worker out there anywhere.

What would that mean to you?

Sorry to see something with such potential go to the way side like this. A real shame. Very sad…

Field is allowed to go to unreasonably poor condition in terms of maintenance even though otherwise the lay-out is the finest.

First time here!!

Despite this being my first time here I had an absolutely phenomenal time. Looking forward to coming back. The only hang up was the fact they allow two people one cart out behind foursomes which create gridlock on the course. Hopefully soon they fix that. I also which the bar reopened, can’t use COVID as an excuse anymore lol.

This course needs some tender loving care

The course has a wonderful lay out. The conditions of the greens and tee boxes were awful. The concession stand at the turn around was closed. We were starving as we were counting on a hotdog at the turn. It's quite a shame that it is so run down. Played Coral Sp0rings and that was beautiful, and the hotdogs were yummy.

Belle surprise!

Nous avons joué sur ce terrain l’an dernier et il était en très piteux état. Quelle surprise de constater autant d’améliorations en si peu de temps! Reste encore du travail à faire mais il est tout de même très agréable à jouer. Le personnel est super sympathique. Les défis sont intéressants. Il y a beaucoup d’eau. Nous y retournerons c’est certain.

Great Course Layout

Great course layout. Unfortunately the overall course conditions were not very good. The greens and tee boxes were very poor, but based on the visability of fertilizer, it appears that they are working to address this.
