Grand Ridge Golf Club
About
Grand Ridge Golf Club is tucked away in the swamplands of St. Charles Parish, La. This scenic course is dappled with towering cypress trees and ancient oaks draped in moss. There are enough challenges on the golf course to keep the beautiful backdrop from being too distracting though. Water hazards come into play on 10 holes and the tight fairways are lined with trees. You'll need to have accurate drives in order to put you in a good position for the approach to the equally challenging greens. The golf course is a fair test that is player friendly enough to appeal to low and high handicappers alike. Grand Ridge Golf Club's signature hole is the par-5 15th. This tough 515-yard hole starts off with a tee shot over a pond up a narrow, tree-lined fairway.

Really good
Really enjoyed the round , course in good shape and staff very friendly
Work on your game
Not many players during the week. Able to work on short game.
Poor golf course
Not worth the money- booked on line. Left after 9 holes ! Water standing in fairways everywhere .Tee boxes we nothing and what was left of fairways was crab grass. Lost balls in fairways due to amount of water on course. Course has no way to drain- played a course 6 miles away on Saturday and it was fine. Will not be back - too many other good course to play then this .
I have been in New Orleans for 2yrs and play a lot with friends from work. Have never seen this before-seems like nobody cares about course
What can i say
Well the course could actually be a really nice place to play if they maintained the grass around the course. Also the golf cart went dead on the 14th hole so we had to wait about 20 minutes to have them bring another cart. By the time we got to the 17th hole the cart they had brought us was now out of battery life. So we limped in to the clubhouse having to push it sometimes just to get the momentum going.
Nice course
We played on a very wet course with carts paths only.
We still enjoyed the course and would definitely play it again. Its runs through homes on the front nine but goes out "into the wilderness" on the back nine and tends to be very scenic.
Good For Me
I am so much satisfied all condition.
This course has great features. I waitting exieting next time for play.
Gran Ridge
Course was in good condition. Fairways can be tight with trees. over all it is a good course for the price with were able to get from Golfnow
Good course for the price
Very challenging. Need good shot placement of the tee. Greens were in good shape.
Great old style layout, not maintained though
I enjoyed the layout which had a lot of old oaks and interesting holes but bunkers were full of weeds and didn't have much sand. Greens were cut rough and slow. Very friendly staff.
Challenging and fun.
This was my first time playing this course. The girl that checked me in was very friendly and helpful on directions and course playing. I started out playing slow for I was a bit sore from softball practice the day before. After the 5th hole I was just starting to loosen up and I started making pars. The fairways are narrow like the girl said. It was very hot today and I would like to play it again when the weather is cool. All in all I enjoyed myself and the $22.00 greens fee was a plus. I like traveling around to different courses and this was a 150 mile round tripper.
Course needs tending to
Good location, good staff, but seems like they let the course go. They did have rain previous day but landscaping and bunkers were poor and haven't been kept up. Greens were nice and soft. Good roll.
Worth the price
I've played this course many times over the years. I love the layout and overall challenges of the course. The fairways and greens are not the best but if you get it at what we paid ($17.00) you can't beat it. It's a great course for the average golfer. Also keep an eye peeled on hole 13 tee box. They have one of the biggest and most beautiful Oak trees I've seen.
Could be a gem.
First, let me say, that this could be the most interesting layout in the N.O. area. It reminds me of Harbor Town without the sand and the lighthouse. Narrow fairways, tall trees, and small greens. However, basically, poor conditions. Bumpy fairways with a mix of grasses. Greens were nice but long. Traps are terrible. Ponds need to be cleaned. With some effort and investment, this could be a fantastic course.
Great Value for community course
This was the second time that I played this course and I continue to enjoy the experience. It was a very hot Louisiana afternoon but the ample amount of mature trees on this course provide challenging tee shots and great shade when you need a break from the sun. Beautiful scenery.
Louisiana experiance
For a local yokel course its decent. Its not a five star course like TPC Louisiana, Carter Plantation, Aubudon, or any other on the Louisiana golf trail. However if you are appreciative of the unique wildlife in the area you'll enjoy the course. Fairways were hard packed, greens were ok.
Great greens and super fast play
The greens were in great shape and almost no one on the course at 10:00 when we teed off. Course favors someone who hits it right to left.
Had fun!
The greens a little slow but the course was in good shape. Yardage markings in par threes were not very accurate and a little confusing, had to judge distance on my own pretty much. Overall I like the course and will come back I had fun!
Scenic Course
Grand Ridge is very well maintained. Truly enjoyed the moss draped trees which afforded lots of shaded areas. As a beginner golfer, I play for the fun and usually appreciate the wildlife about on the course more so than the game itself. I would definitely return to play and enjoy the environment.
A challenging and beautiful course, but fairways need extensive repairs.
This course has a lot to offer, and could one day be an excellent course, but poor fairways put a damper on my experience. Plenty of uneven grass length and an abundance of clover weeds made the fairways unsightly and difficult to play. However, the greens were in great shape! The course lay out is difficult, with plenty of water, traps, and hard to reach greens. When we were playing, one of the owners came around on a cart and thanked us for playing the course. He asked about the conditions of the course, and what we thought they could do to improve it. He insisted that the fairways were their main concern and that they would be working on them shortly. Real nice guy. With the course lay out, staff, and price this course has a lot to offer. Once the fairways are improved, it will be a premier course in the area. I plan to play it again!
Nice course plenty of trees not to busy
Greens in great shape. Tee boxes in good shape. Enjoy our round
