Grand Ridge Golf Club
About
Grand Ridge Golf Club is tucked away in the swamplands of St. Charles Parish, La. This scenic course is dappled with towering cypress trees and ancient oaks draped in moss. There are enough challenges on the golf course to keep the beautiful backdrop from being too distracting though. Water hazards come into play on 10 holes and the tight fairways are lined with trees. You'll need to have accurate drives in order to put you in a good position for the approach to the equally challenging greens. The golf course is a fair test that is player friendly enough to appeal to low and high handicappers alike. Grand Ridge Golf Club's signature hole is the par-5 15th. This tough 515-yard hole starts off with a tee shot over a pond up a narrow, tree-lined fairway.

Great day of golf.
Staff was very professional as always. Great course to play for shot making. Truly enjoy playing Grand Ridge.
Grand Ridge golf course
Not a bad course. Very challenging because if the many trees positioned throughout the entire course. The scenery is beautiful.
Greens unplayable
Not worth the $15 hot deal. Greens still not close to being manageable. Fairways are indistinguishable.
"Lulled" in Luling
Wanted to try a new course and found a great deal from Grand Ridge G.C. Course was deceptive, at least to begin. With the Bermuda grass dormant the first impression was that this would be an easy course to play. However the layout made it a challenge. While the long driver might be able to drive 1 or 2 of the Par 4s, the greens were very challenging. They putted very fast making 2 putts extremely challenging. In addition, it was difficult to putt from outside the fringe because many greens were surrounded by a ridge. Some greens had burnt areas but usually only a small area. This should improve in the spring. Overall, a good course to play to test shot accuracy and putting skills.New carts were a plus, too!
The Dr
Overall the course was good for play.
The fairways could use some attention, they were hard-pan in several areas of every fairway.
The green were in good condition but I found that none of them were rolling the same at all.
I lost some strokes because of the greens not being consistent.
I paid only $20 so what is there really to complain about.
I will play it again in search of those strokes I lost.
Maybe I will find them since I know better.
Great Day at Grand Bayou
The course was in very good condition.
I enjoyed my play very much
Course needs maintenance
I have played here in the past and enjoy the layout. This time I was really disappointed in the course condition. Several areas of the Fairways and Greens were either brown or just dirt. The parts of the greens that had grass did not roll true and were very, very slow. I used to believe these were some of the best greens around, but based on this round my opinion has changed.
I hope the conditions improve because this course can be a lot of fun to play.
Had fun
Had a good time. It rained right as we got to course but the water drained really quick n play went on.
dire need of maintenance
With the exception of just a few greens, there were big dead spots on them, making putts very unpredictable and unfair. All of the bunkers had signs in them saying ground under repair, though there was clearly no repairing going on. The fairways, despite having plenty of rain in the past couple months, had lots of area of just hardpan dirt. In short, the condition was poor, and probably will continue to deteriorate. The positives? Not many people out there and the guy working there was friendly. The green fee wasn't awful (oddly it was cheaper at the course than you can find online).
Grand Ridge Greens
The course reminded me of a South Louisiana course with moss covered cypresses. The issue is that they greens keeper killed most of the grass on the greens. At best the course should close and repair the greens.
Greens
Course conditions was very bad, special the greens...
18 holes at Grand Ridge
Great staff at Grand Ridge but overall the course was in poor condition. There had been a lot of rain the week before I played and I expected water in the fairways but the greens were poorly manicured. There were several drainage ditches across some of the fairways. The tee boxes were below average.
Nice Course and Friendly Staff
The course was soggy from the recent rains. However, it was relatively well kept. The staff was very friendly!
Grand Ridge Play
Course is in generally good condition. Greens were not consistent as to speed but well maintained. Not a lot of sand on the course but the traps have weeds and packed mud instead of playable sand. Had a good time though. Broke 90 for first time in a long time. I'll definitely go back.
Relaxed Course
Enjoyed a relaxed round of golf. Pace was good and the staff was friendly. Some of the greens were a bit wet and slow, but overall a good value for the price.
First round at Grand Ridge GC
This is a fun golf course with a good lay-out, winding through the surrounding residential neighborhood. My round was on a very hot (July) day, greens were kinda slow, (not cut too closely to avoid burning out). Otherwise, a pretty good test of golf from the back tees.
Great course to play
Enjoy playing course! Challenge with the narrow fairways and 90degree dog leg.
