About
Grand Ridge Golf Club is tucked away in the swamplands of St. Charles Parish, La. This scenic course is dappled with towering cypress trees and ancient oaks draped in moss. There are enough challenges on the golf course to keep the beautiful backdrop from being too distracting though. Water hazards come into play on 10 holes and the tight fairways are lined with trees. You'll need to have accurate drives in order to put you in a good position for the approach to the equally challenging greens. The golf course is a fair test that is player friendly enough to appeal to low and high handicappers alike. Grand Ridge Golf Club's signature hole is the par-5 15th. This tough 515-yard hole starts off with a tee shot over a pond up a narrow, tree-lined fairway.

Got to the course to be informed after already booking that they had a tournament going on and that it was backed up. Had driven about 30 minutes to play so I decided to keep my reservation - honestly a mistake. Groups of 6 clogging up the course in non tournament play. Took me roughly 5 1/2 hours to play a solo 18. Absolutely terrible pace of play. Would take 15 minutes on each tee box with multiple other groups clogged up behind me. Don’t plan on going back. Been better before but this was awful. Course was in great shape at least.

They need some serious rain it was like playing in the desert
Front desk guy wouldn’t give me a golf cart.
The guy at the front desk wouldn’t give me a golf cart, although I paid for a golf cart. Golf carts were available when I was denied a golf cart.
Fantastic Day
Finally a cooler day in the low 60s. Three club wind made it a bit more challenging. Course is in awesome shape. Staff, as always was great.
I teed off as a single at 9:15. Didn’t see another player until the back nine. Never had to wait to hit a shot and I didn’t rush any shots. Putted out on 18 at 11:20. Scored in the low 80s and really enjoyed the morning.
Excellent
The course is in the best shape I have ever seen. Greens were immaculate. Made for a very enjoyable round.
Good course for hot deal price
Played midday on a Thursday and pace of play was great. Course was in good condition for the most part. A few tee boxes were in need of some loving and a few greens as well. Overall it’s well taken care of. Course layout is very generic however the small greens make it a tougher course.
Always in good shape
This course is always in great condition. Especially the greens. With the current tendency to over grow the roughs, Grand Ridges rough is about 2/3 the height of a ball which although penal doesn’t have people searching for balls.
On course
Could use a Marshall to patrol
To many slow groups that will not let a single or double threw
And see way to many 5 Somes
Beverage cart on weekends.
