Royal New Kent Golf Club

First time playing this course and I loved it. It does help to watch the course flyover on their site to get ideas on where to hit and what you should challenge, because challenges are everywhere. From elevated to low greens, blind shots lead you hoping for a good lie this course will give you the roller coaster of emotions.

I've been wanting to play here for years. It was beautiful and serene. If there was something I could say is this course is challenging to anyone with a high handicap like myself. It made me think which was good and can be unforgiving for miss hits and hard slices because you will not recover that ball.

Course is great but greens were just punched. Very bumpy and unpredictable. I would wait at least a week or till August 6th for the holes to fill:

This course was a ton of fun - it has a notorious reputation for being incredibly tough, so I played one tee box up from my normal length.

This is probably the hardest course I've ever played. The layout is very unique and it's certainly a beautiful course. However, the extreme challenge of the course does take some of the fun out of it. You'll often find yourself wondering where the heck the fairway or green are. Some of the greens are insane as well with borderline unfair hole locations. I probably won't be back anytime soon, but it's definitely worth a visit.

Greens were aerated a week ago. They gave us a discount which was nice. Greens essentially unputtable though. Tee to green was awesome. Gave us bottles of water to start but needed water on course due to heat.

I would have considered the course condition as almost impeccable. The aerated greens are playable for me.

Played this course Sunday the July 14th. Few days after they plugged the greens and the day after 2+ inches of rain. I gave the condition 3 stars because of this. However even with the conditions the course played great. Layout is awesome each hole kept you on your toes and made you really think about how you wanted to play each shot. I really liked how the course made you aware of course conditions before booking and reduced the greens fee. I learned a lot about the course without blowing the budget and learned that I will be going back to play it again when the conditions bounce back.

Definitely recommend playing this course if your in the area or even worth the drive coming from the richmond area. It will be on my favorites list.

Royal New Kent matched its tall reputation in Virginia golf. The course was challenging and unique and in pristine condition despite the (almost) 100 degree weather. Would be happy to recommend and play again!

Nice course that can get into your head.

Greens were so fast, almost impossible to putt on the second nine. 10 blind shots off the tee...that is one thing,but there is no design of the course anywhere, not on the scorecard or near the the tee bixes, so you sometimes don,t know where to go...at all Even though I liked it and would like to play it again.

Probably the toughest course I played in my life.

This is one of those courses you hate loving or love hating. It will challenge every club in your bag that you hit well. You’ll lose balls but if the water level is down on 18 you might find a few hundred!

But it will be a fun round for sure and your group can commiserate together! If you have a golf group heading to Williamsburg this is a 30 minute drive that’s well worth it.

Most challenging course I have ever played. Way above my skill level (15 handicap). If you are looking for a challenge, this is the course. If you're looking for a fun round of golf, go anywhere else.

RNK is always a challenge and a place where you need your A game . Its long and tough off blue and white tees . The member tees White /Green are only 5500 yardd but still a 134 rating . The scenery is awesome ad I usually find as many balls as i lose . It is fair but tough .
