Las Sendas Golf Club

Course well maintained. Enjoyed playing but tough course for intermediate players. Used every club in the bag. Only disappointment was no GPS in the cart. Scorecard grahics good but bring your own GPS system

1 hour to play first two holes. Marshall was nice but did little to help and we finished 16-18 in the dark.

First time playing the course. It was challenging, but it was a fair. The course was in great condition (December 20th). It is a fairly tight golf course with multiple blind shots. We will certainly play this course again when visiting the Greater Phoenix Area.

We had two ride alongs which were to much of a distraction. 6 in a group is not conducive to an enjoyable round.

While this was my first time playing Las Sendas after a few holes I realized a certain familiarity….when I started my round I did not know I was playing a Robert Trent Jones, Jr course but I have played all of the RTJ Trail courses in Alabama among many others around the country and this is definitely a challenging RTJ course!

The round starts with a challenging (I believe #1 Handicap hole!) risk/reward dogleg over/around water that can definitely set the tone for your round. What a fun starting hole!

The bookend is the 18th, another outstanding hole and if you ran the gauntlet on the other 17 holes do not relax one bit on this hole…it can still be a round breaker so no celebrations until you walk off the 18th green on your way to the clubhouse!

In between, the course is varied and challenging as one would expect. There was a nice mix of needing to move the ball right to left and left to right on holes. Bunkering was, well just stay out of them which if you play RTJ courses you already know that! On that note, the only semi-negative thing that comes to mind is that in a couple of the bunkers the sand seemed very shallow and inconsistent but again not a big deal if you can just avoid the strategically placed monsters!

Played there on 2 occasions within a week and both times we got to the back 9 and it took almost 3 hours to complete.

Of course the first hole is the number one index. Beautifully set up risk reward. I like this course a lot, but I haven't played it as much as I would like to. I think that's going to change. Just out of overseeding of course was in great shape based on the situation. Another month or two it should be spectacular.

A friend recommended that I should play this course - backing it with this comment “ I promise you that you will remember it forever!

This is a beautiful course, well maintained with friendly staff and beautiful facilities. This was our second time playing Las Sendas and forgot how challenging it is (we are from out of state).

The desert is in play on practically every hole and course knowledge is needed to make the round more enjoyable. It didn’t take a terribly errant shot or the wrong club selection to be penalized as fairways and mounds seem to filter less than perfect shots toward the desert. And it was rocky and full of brush that made finding a ball difficult, if possible, and unplayable if found.

I also question why a course at this price point didn’t have carts equipped with GPS. Signage was also minimal with no tee signs or yardages. We even had to question where the 10th tee was at the turn.

I recognize this course has local members and none of my issues are probably their issues. But if you are not familiar with the course then my suggestion would be to play in a group with someone who has course knowledge. Or do they offer fore caddies??

Just coming out of overseeding, the course was in great shape. Greens rolled well, and the fairways were lush. Bunkers were in good shape. Robert Trent Jones always builds a tough course. Front nines tougher than the back nine. Enjoy

Terrible experience, wish we hadn’t gone. Pre paid on line, had to quit after a miserable 7 holes of rain and wind. No refund. Bummer. Loooks nice but didn’t get to appreciate it.
