About
Golden Hills Golf Club (formerly known as Arizona Golf Resort) is home to a golf school and a challenging 18-hole course. The golf course is known for its difficult and scenic par-3 holes. It is has a traditional layout that features large, subtly sloped greens that are guarded by bunkers. Stately cottonwood and eucalyptus trees line the generous fairways. Lakes form water hazards that come into play on five holes and there is also native rough throughout the course. With four sets of tee boxes, the course offers a suitable challenge for players of all skill levels. In addition to the course and the school, the Golden Hills Golf Club has a putting green and chipping area as well.

Homeless people golfing?
First off; we know what we are getting for $50, but do we really need to have employees not trained and dirt for grass? When will this place get to be an actual golf course and not a place for homeless people to stroll the course. Still a joke and hope people know what they are walking into….going to western skies for now on
Great Course and Great Staff!
The course was perfect, the greens were perfect, and the weather was perfect! The staff there are super nice, including Mike, Donald, Austin, Kyle, Hayden, Jade, Annika and Jim! The course is forgiving, and always in perfect shape. Good sand, too! (I had 3 sand-saves!)

Course was nice.
The course was not bad. I do however have a few things to complain about. The course was cart path only which made for an extremely LONG game. The other factor that was definitely not favorable was that we booked our time as a 2 some but we then had 3 others join or group. We told the starter that we perfered it be just the 2 of us but they wouldn't allow it. 1 of the 3 of our add-ons was great. The other 2 were the ABSOLUTE worst. They were 15 minutes late. Each of them took great amounts of time taking selfies, hitting multiple balls, accepting phone calls that seemed extremely unimportant, and talking while the other people in our party were taking our turns. They were there more for the social media attention and to #golf than to actually play the game. The worst part is when the round was over they were bragging about how well they had done, what they forgot to include was that they took 30+ mulligans and an uncountable amount of drops without penalties. If the starter would have accepted my parties request to play ahead we would have had a significantly different experience. If I play here again and they try to pair us up with a bunch of inconsiderate goons I will walk off the course and demand a refund. I should have yesterday but I was so frustrated that I just wanted to get home.

Improving Conditions
Haven’t played here in a while. Although cart path only it was nice to see grass on the course again.

Long day at AGR
Slow pace of play. This is somewhat expected mid morning on a Saturday buy could have been somewhat avoided. Cart path only is fine buy spaced out tee times would help. On top of that, starter held up a.4 some because on of their ppl was late. That's a big problem. Now everyone is behind. Marshals were great and this course is what it is and you know that. It has its challenges and it was still fun
Thank you for your reply. First of is not holding up a 4 some because of a single player. Sent that player out after and let him catch up. He may miss a hole or maybe 2 but wont make everyone else have a 5 hr round. Also Space out your tee times when your cart path only. We all understand why its this way but waiting 5-7 minutes on every tee box is not acceptable

LONGGGG ROUND
We waited on every shot and the staff was a mess when we arrived. Wish we would have played somewhere else. Not worth $50.

cart path only
we had to stay on the cart path only and found the pace of play slowed down because of all the walking to and from the cart.

Waiting for cart
We T ' ed off 40 min plus late waiting for a cart which did not allow us to play 18 holes. 18 was fully expected as our t time was 1:15. Very disappointed with the seemingly lack of concern from management. The staff did what they could, no fault there.

Course was in much better condition than this summer. Overseeding was nice . Greens were still a little hairy. Cart path only.

Tough Course, Great Staff
I managed a 79, but I don't know how! Most of the par-4's are 400 yards! They're getting better with the drainage, but still a way to go. There are still large dead areas, including tee-boxes! The staff are super nice.
