About
Located in Mesa, Desert Sand Golf Course is an executive length course with a short layout that is most suitable for beginners, but it is also a good place for golfers of all skill levels to work on their short game skills. Due to its flat terrain, the course is easy to walk with few elevation changes. The greens are remarkably fast and water hazards come into play on five holes. There are also sand bunkers scattered throughout the course. The Desert Sand Golf Course facility offers a chipping area and putting green and it is also home to a golf school.

Always a Pleasure Playing Here
This is a shorter (4,029 yards; par 65) course ranging through neighborhoods. The greens can make it more difficult than it might seem. Personally, as a high handicapper, I find it a lot of fun to play. Staff here is always friendly and professional. I have not taken advantage of the opportunity to eat here, but it often smells pretty good in the clubhouse ;-) so one of these times I'll have to at least get a breakfast burrito.
Getting ready for overseeding
The course is getting ready for overseeding so greens were cut and fairways cut with very little grass. Hard and fast due to this condition. I would wait a couple of weeks before u play again.

Bad conditions
Like most courses right now this place is bad. Not much grass in the fairways it’s just dirt at this point. They said they are drying it out to overseed. I normally play here but will look elsewhere for about a month and then come back.

Bang for your buck
Best course for your money if you are a new to intermediate player. Shorter course. Can be played in 3-3.5 hours. No sand traps and only a couple water hazards for the new players.

Course is a little rough this time of year. It is a desert course.
Play is quick and goes well. Short in yards but plays well for the average golfer. No sand traps and two water holes. Easy layout.

Friday golf
The fairways honestly were horrible. Most of the tee were extremely dry, making it difficult to push in your tees. For the difficulty the course is good. Most of the greens were in good shape and the somewhat fast. We played this course for practice and to improve before our charity golf tournament. I will play this course again because I like it.
