About
Located in Mesa, Desert Sand Golf Course is an executive length course with a short layout that is most suitable for beginners, but it is also a good place for golfers of all skill levels to work on their short game skills. Due to its flat terrain, the course is easy to walk with few elevation changes. The greens are remarkably fast and water hazards come into play on five holes. There are also sand bunkers scattered throughout the course. The Desert Sand Golf Course facility offers a chipping area and putting green and it is also home to a golf school.

Fun course
Nice layout in a established community. Very scoreable, tough pin placements when I played but that being said, there iare challenging greens. Definitely worth playing this course again.

Was trying to hit on the first hole and the worker was cutting the grass and kept getting in front of us in the line of play. Had other workers on the green when we were putting doing maintenance to the holes while we were trying to putt. Very frustrating.

Enjoyed This Round - Grass In Transition
We enjoyed this course. The layout is very open and all the greens have large rear inclines - but that makes the greens very challenging. The greens keeper says the grass is in transition between winter to summer grass and that should be complete in a couple of weeks. There were dry patches on the fairways and the greens were hard and very fast. There are no bunkers on this course. We are looking forward to returning to try this again. 4000 yards with 2 par 5s.

Bring a sandwich
Course was nice for the price but the $9 burgers at the turn are hockey pucks.

Course In Transition
The greens keeper was stating the the course is currently in transition from winter to summer grass. This was obvious as there were a fair bit of dry fairway patches and the greens were very dry and very fast. This was a nice course layout tho and the greens very challenging. We will deff be back to play soon. Oh also, there is only 1 water hazard and 0 bunkers. The course is very open, so if you are apt to losing balls you won’t here. Enjoy.
