Located in Mesa, Desert Sand Golf Course is an executive length course with a short layout that is most suitable for beginners, but it is also a good place for golfers of all skill levels to work on their short game skills. Due to its flat terrain, the course is easy to walk with few elevation changes. The greens are remarkably fast and water hazards come into play on five holes. There are also sand bunkers scattered throughout the course. The Desert Sand Golf Course facility offers a chipping area and putting green and it is also home to a golf school.

Desert Sands
Greens are rough and don’t roll true. Not much grass in the fairways. Course needs some work.

The weather was terrific. The main difficulty at Desert Sands are the non-flat greens, but that makes it more interesting.

The course is in better shape than the last time I played but there are still a lot of ‘bald’ areas.
