About
Located in Mesa, Desert Sand Golf Course is an executive length course with a short layout that is most suitable for beginners, but it is also a good place for golfers of all skill levels to work on their short game skills. Due to its flat terrain, the course is easy to walk with few elevation changes. The greens are remarkably fast and water hazards come into play on five holes. There are also sand bunkers scattered throughout the course. The Desert Sand Golf Course facility offers a chipping area and putting green and it is also home to a golf school.

Walking nine
Perfect course to walk nine holes but just in terrible shape.
So So Course
We were disappointed in this course. They did not do a good job of overfeeding. The greens were not in very good shape. The starter did not keep people from starting too soon so there were traffic jams on the course. It was a little unnerving crossing the busy street twice. There is a crosswalk light but it is still scary.The staff was very nice. We will not play here again.
Desert Sands
This is a good course if you’re looking to just play for fun at a lower cost. Sometimes the staff isn’t probably as friendly as they should be for quality customer service (depending on the crew working at that time). The fairways are pretty open and beginner friendly. The greens are kind of tough to approach for a novice golfer because they are kind of “mountainous.” Meaning you have a good chance of rolling off the green if your not in a specific spot.
pitcher mounds
Staff were very friendly, we were twosome behind VERY slow drinking make foursome who constantly double backed towards us because they basically had NO CLUE where they hit…
All the greens were like pitcher mounds, I’m normally a very decent putter but it sure challenged me!
Foursome behind us almost hit us 3 times and never hollered fore once! I was very pleased when one of them lost their ball in the gully heading to 16 green after his partner missed us as we stood on 17 tee!
