About
Located in Mesa, Desert Sand Golf Course is an executive length course with a short layout that is most suitable for beginners, but it is also a good place for golfers of all skill levels to work on their short game skills. Due to its flat terrain, the course is easy to walk with few elevation changes. The greens are remarkably fast and water hazards come into play on five holes. There are also sand bunkers scattered throughout the course. The Desert Sand Golf Course facility offers a chipping area and putting green and it is also home to a golf school.

Low Rates
This course has some of the lowest rates around, especially during the prime season. The course is not in the greatest shape but still very nice. Really crowded. My only real complaint is that so many holes on the green seem to have a raised lip. New holes don't seem to be tamped down properly. Other than that, it's a fun and scenic course to play.
Good greens, slow play
Course is in good shape for the most part. Greens have a few spotty brown spots, but pretty well taken care of. The greens are small, but there are a couple that have crazy undulations and mounds in them. I signed up as a single, completing a foursome, but got sent off as a single amongst higher groups. I did ask for ( and received) a rain check for the back nine.
Weekend slow play
Short course but tons of wait … greens are rolling ok but all are small mushroom tops!
Good place to golf
Solid round of golf. Course had mud everywhere. Greens are funky. Other than that, very fun round

Very slow pace of play
Discovered after I had checked in that my tee time was just after a ladies league . Huge mistake. All were walking and very very slow. Was very disappointed for this round
