About
The East Valley's Superstition Springs Golf Club offers one of Arizona's most testing layouts, measuring over 7,000 yards, with a slope rating of 130. Golf course architect Greg H. Nash designed the course and worked with the landscape already in place to provide the abundant mounding, wide bunkers and good-looking but tough-playing water features.
By the time he had finished with the Superstition Springs Golf Club, Nash had created a golf course that Golfweek called one of America's Best Golf Courses.
After - or before - a round of golf at the Superstition Springs Golf Club, hit up the restaurant for breakfast, lunch or drinks either inside or on the patio, which overlooks the golf course's signature hole, the ninth.

Not good.
Showed up for my tee time 30 minutes early. The layout was confusing. No carts were ready. Waited until after my tee time to get a cart and start. Started at 133 only got to play 9 holes in 3.5 hours. No Marshall to speed up the pace. Cart girl came by 2 times in 3.5 hours. It was 80 degrees out drinks go down fast even whenyou are buying 4 at a time. Had to wait at every tee box for what seemed like forever because it was so backed up. 9 holes for 61 a person. I'd rather play rolling hills based on staff alone.
Golfdon SSG review
Course was in good condition except the lakes were dirty with trash along the edges. Greens were good. Speed was good. Staff very friendly and helpful. Definitely play again
Challenging lay out. No sand in the beautiful bunkers!
I can’t believe there’s no sand in the bunkers! It’s a fun challenging course but if you hit it in one of the many deep bunkers, forget about trying an explosion shot. It’s hard pan dirt! My playing partner who’s a plus 2 ended up just putting it out.
SSS improving
Winter grass fairways good and greens very good. Water in lakes since heavy rain a week earlier.
Course in poor condition
Litter and trash found in many places. Bunkers were barren and basically mud. Course not well kept up at all. Great layout, but course is not being kept up
The course is green but not good
The course is green and that's all it has going for it. Cart path only but half the people don't follow the rules. Bunkers are just dirt/rocks. Greens are super shaggy and slow. Not a bad course if it was $30-$35 to play.
Rude Golfer’s
The course was scalped to prepare for overseeding; but the other golfers were just fine with jumping around hole to hole. No one marshaled and the other golfers seemed very entitled and rude! I’d only played the course once and won’t return!
Rude players!
The course was okay for this time of year. However, the pace of play was pretty slow. The people behind us hit up even though we had to wait at every hole for the folks ahead of us. The course was full. Despite the entitled players around us, we finished the round in 3:15 hours. Thanks to the inside staff ! They were great!
Course conditions
The course is being reset for the season. The layout requires you play it regularly to not hit into the deep non sand bunkers around every green. If you have some Mobility issues it is hard to get to the greens.
Terrible
Fairways in terrible condition. Unruly tee boxes. Yardage markers and score cards inaccurate. Will not play again
Overseeding Challenge
Course was starting overseeding .Bill in pro shop was friendly and always greets you with a smile. Explained the course condition and the fact they were changing the front nine to the back nine and vice versus. Look forward to playing after overseeding is complete.
Great course.
Superstition is a great course with amazing potential. The water features are dry this year, and some of the fairways are being worked on for hydro seeding. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Overall I enjoy this course over others in the area. Challenging and interesting holes.
