About
The East Valley's Superstition Springs Golf Club offers one of Arizona's most testing layouts, measuring over 7,000 yards, with a slope rating of 130. Golf course architect Greg H. Nash designed the course and worked with the landscape already in place to provide the abundant mounding, wide bunkers and good-looking but tough-playing water features.
By the time he had finished with the Superstition Springs Golf Club, Nash had created a golf course that Golfweek called one of America's Best Golf Courses.
After - or before - a round of golf at the Superstition Springs Golf Club, hit up the restaurant for breakfast, lunch or drinks either inside or on the patio, which overlooks the golf course's signature hole, the ninth.

Fun
Went out on this course and had a ton of fun. Pace of play was average. This is one of the first courses I’ve had to use all the clubs in my bag on. Excellent condition and hope to play again the next time I’m in town.
Fun and Challenging
Had a really enjoyable round. This course always gets me for some reason, but I like playing here because the staff is friendly and I truly believe some day I will beat the course. Ha! Pretty good conditions compared to most in the area, and definitely will be back.
Frustrating pace of play
This course is for golfers who shoot 100+ and the pace of play reflects that.
Like the lay out
Greens were bumpy and full of ball marks.
Sand traps were poorly maintained. But the fairways were in good shape.
Not Worth The Money
I was expecting a decent experience at this course, as it used to be in good shape and fun to play. But, it was in horrible condition - bunkers were full of mud and hard pack, tee boxes were chewed up and not level, the fairways and rough were VERY muddy with numerous muddy tire tracks. The greens were decent, although they have your normal wear and tear and ball marks. I recommend you spend your money on a course like Aguila which is always in good shape, and Superstition is worth about $15 tops.
Local knowledge
Most holes rely on distance control and lay ups to well guarded greens. We were cart path only as the course just opened after overseeding.

What a great morning! Playing nine holes with a meal included! Loved it!
A work in progress
Cart path only never helps a review. No rangers out to enforce the rule. Course was very wet in places. So much so that much of the rough was very long, making finding balls in the rough very difficult at times. Even the fairways were too long in many places. Last 10 holes were much more interesting than the initial 8. No doubt, a worthwhile experience when conditions improve enough to allow carts on the course.
