Superstition Springs Golf Club
About
The East Valley's Superstition Springs Golf Club offers one of Arizona's most testing layouts, measuring over 7,000 yards, with a slope rating of 130. Golf course architect Greg H. Nash designed the course and worked with the landscape already in place to provide the abundant mounding, wide bunkers and good-looking but tough-playing water features.
By the time he had finished with the Superstition Springs Golf Club, Nash had created a golf course that Golfweek called one of America's Best Golf Courses.
After - or before - a round of golf at the Superstition Springs Golf Club, hit up the restaurant for breakfast, lunch or drinks either inside or on the patio, which overlooks the golf course's signature hole, the ninth.

Distance is critical, water short & long of landing area. Photo submitted by tomumps2000 on 01/19/2013
5 hour round
Ridiculous how close they book tee times. Money grab. It took us 4 hours and 30 minutes to play 15 holes. I guess thats what happens when you book tee times so close together.
Good track in decent condition
Fairways are well kept but have some real wet spots. Outside fairway is dry as toast. Not overly appealing. Greens average to slow but running true. Good day overall
A great course,
A nice course, not as nice this year as others. Water holes empty, some dead patches.but with the drought conditions it’s looking great
Arcis rate
Booked online through golf now, did not honor arcis card or rate. Cost arcis card holder approximately $15.00 for a round that they subscribe to when they bought their cards. Should have went to course website to book
Greens in excellent shape! Only complaint is there are no 100 or 150 yard markers. Also no GPS on the carts.
Not what it looks like online
Okay course. Not anything like it used to be or how it looks online. Where is the water? Most ponds are empty and sand traps are not maintained. Covid risk. Had to pay too much for second cart for seperate households during a pandemic and none of the carts looked cleaned or even wiped off after paying the extra fees.
Bad shape
Haven’t played here in 2 yrs, was disappointed in the condition
Good design, challenging, but conditions was poor
Some long par fours, some short ones so you can choose to not hit driver, which is nice. Small landing areas on greens. Layout is good, but muni-like conditions. Dead/bare spots in the fairways, some areas muddy and saturated, several tee boxes were sandy and not level.
Nice course, great staff and a good test of golf shots.
I really like this course. It’s not easy but it’s fun. There’s a good mix of shorter holes to make up for a few really tough holes with water. The bunkers need more sand and the conditions are good but not great overall. There’s some flooded areas and burn out areas that need attention but really not a problem it just keeps me from saying conditions are amazing etc. The staff is always friendly snd thankful we chose to play there during Covid they make a point to thank you repeatedly. Overall I really enjoy it here snd again it’s not an easy course yet it’s fun and staff is great! Early tee times are key firing first delays so that you still get out early enough after a delay!
Could be a great course.
This course has the layout to be great, just in terrible condition. Not worth the price I paid.
It's ok...has potential to be so much better
Pace of play was not monitored. Terribly slow.
Beverage service didn't have iced tea or N/A beers (probably not important to many people).
Lots of bare areas and bad lies. Sand traps were not good.. Maybe I should have just kept in the fairway.
Worst part...why can't golf courses have a marker of some kind (stick, paint on path, etc.) to indicate yardage? All we need is 100-150-200. It seems like such an easy amenity to have.
Beautiful Tuesday playing golf! Course in great shape.
Course in great condition. Greens challenging. Nice day.
Great day!
This course is a wonderful layout. But. Beware! The back 9 is tough! But it is great fun!
Don’t waste your money
The conditions of this course were really bad, the greens were OK the fairways we’re OK but there was not one distance marker on the entire course. I have never played here before and don’t carry a rangefinder. All I want is a blue, white and red marker to indicate a ballpark distance and I can figure out the rest. The tee boxes were all tilted so you did not have a flat lie off most tee shots And the bunkers were probably the worst I have ever seen. I realize the object is to stay out of the sand but these bunkers had not been raked by the grounds crew in weeks. The ones that actually had sand were terrible but most of them were just mud. I was better off taking a drop or an unplayable if you ended up at the bunkers. I would never go back to this course again not for $90
