About
The Painted Mountain Golf Club is a challenging desert-style course with a variety of different tees to accommodate every age group and skill level. The course offers a lengthier challenge from the first hole, a par-5 dogleg right, to the last, which requires an approach shot over water in order to reach the green. The Painted Mountain Golf Club, in addition to the course, is also home to the John Jacob's Golf School.

Very slow
Tee time was 1:15. We were only able to play 15 holes before it was too dark. Play was really slow. No ranger to make sure pace was kept. Also too many people were booked too close together. Result was we were waiting on every hole. Not good after paying $60 to wait that much and not finish.
Pay for what you get here. Not a bad place to go but nothing super special. Fairway could be in a little bit better shape but great bang for your buck.
Group policies just wrong
Got to the course, pro shop allowed groups of 5 out ahead, pace of play dead slow. Later saw some bizarre group of 20 guys all on 1 hole playing some best ball format. Will not play there again

Fairways were very sparse, had to move the ball to find grass, greens were good, very slow on back nine due to back to back par 3, with so many great courses in the area I wouldn’t return here
Forgettable
I wanted to like this course. Not able to do it Started 1/2 hour later than scheduled. Tee boxes, fairways and greens all pretty sketchy. Would suggest you not waist your time with this one...
Winter Golf!!!
The greens were very fast and the pin placements were in tough spots all day…
Fairways were very tight due to over-seeding but the course play on good shaw
Needs some maintenance.
If you play this course, just make.sure you have reasonable expectations. The fairways had a ton of bald patches. Lots of dirt everywhere. The facility itself needs some upkeep. I caught my shirt on a staple that was sticking out in the doorway to the bathroom. There was no toilet seat! The pins were mostly placed on steep slopes on the green which is a no-no. Made it impossible to not have it roll 6 or more feet passed, even on a short putt.
Snowbirds are back!!
Golf course is in good shape, pro shop and outside service staff are great as always. This time of year the snowbirds arrive and that means slow slow play. Tee off after 2:00 and made it to hole 14 by 5:30 when I said good buy. I will wait again till end of april and play every week again. I am sure most courses are the same and that is why I will wait till spring. Thank you painted mt. staff. Reason I put down cold was because after 5:00 when sun was going down everyone complained about it being cold.
