Golfer Reviews
Nice layout
We played twilight started at 2:27, very slow we waited on almost every shot, our group were just average golfers but did manage to get 15 holes in. The course itself is a nice layout suitable to all levels. Biggest issue was the poor conditions of the greens not aimed at the staff but aimed at the disrespect of the golfers not repairing pitch marks and dragging their feet on the grass. Oh, and the sand traps are as hard packed as I have ever played out of. They need work
Bad experience
Went out for a twilight round. Foursome in front was really slow, but I can accept that. We got to #5 and staff was aerating the green. In the middle of our round? Really? When we finally got to #6, a person was fishing for balls in the water. He wasn't playing a round, just a neighbor who thought it was his right to be in the way of paying golfers. Also, the course paths were swarming with people out for strolls or walking their dogs. If this course insists on being a "free for all" for everyone in the neighborhood then why did they charge me money to play?
We teed off at 1;24 and waited on every hole on the front 9 When we made the turn things picked up a little and we barely finished in the light at 6:15. The course was in good shape except for rocks in the sand traps and mud at along cart path to step in when getting out of cart. All in all a fun day of golf though.
Tee time was 1:24 and finished about 6:15. Course was packed and would have been later but pace picked up on the back nine. Nice fairways and greens but muddy cart paths area from watering. Still a fun day!!
Best course in the area
Played a few courses in that area and this was by far the best one. With the layout, cost and amenities. Would defiantly come back.
Love Stone Creek
This is a challenging course. The clearing of the overgrown creek is beautiful. Good move! The day was gorgeous! Pace was perfect. Player assist was respectful and good spirited.
Would play again
The course was in great shape and had a great time, but the pace of play was very slow. I teed off at 2:00 PM and only played 14 holes. We had to wait on every hole to tee off. There were multiple times we waited with 2 other groups on par 3s.
I am really looking to go back and play the course again but will probably book an earlier tee time.
Course play was very slow.
Our tee time was 1:42 . We were there at 1:15 and the couple we were playing with were there also. There was no one teeing off from the time we arrived until we teed off at 1:42. After we teed of we had people hitting up behind us the whole 18 holes. If they would have let us tee off earlier we would have enjoyed our game with a much less restricted game. We had two ladies with us who were badly intimidated because they felt they were being pushed through every hole.
30 minutes of open course ahead...let the group behind play through!
