About
The Palmer Course at Wildfire Golf Club is an 18-hole golf course designed by Arnold Palmer and built in 1997. The par-72 golf course measures 7,145 yards from the tournament tees. "I enjoy designing golf courses that celebrate the sheer fun of golf," Palmer said about this course, "and Wildfire is exactly that."
The Bermuda grass Palmer Course at Wildfire Golf Club is one of two championship courses at the club. It features a GPS option that offers golfers detailed mapping of the Faldo and Palmer courses, precise yardages for tee shots and approach shots to the greens, and the chance to order breakfast and lunch from the golf cart. Additional features include communication with the golf shop, a CBS Sportsline ticker with all scores 24 hours a day, and the leader board for tournaments. Its sibling, the Faldo golf course, also features the system.

Great layout for all level players
Wonderful layout, great conditions, good practice range, & delicious food. All great combination for a wonderful day at Wildfire GC. Go play this course, you won't be disappointed.
Choppy Course - Course knowledge a MUST!
First time playing Wildfire/Palmer. Excellent condition, beautiful greens. January weather was perfect. Rough was all winter-brown, so the beautifully green fairways were bordered by this color of rough, making the landing areas often appear to be very narrow. Perceptually difficult course to figure out: Too many holes included 'blind' shots to fairways/landing areas which were hard to decipher. Course seemed shoehorned into the housing development. Hard to see the layout of the hole. Even with the on-board video screens and fly-over videos, too many holes presented a visual challenge from the tee. First-timers at this course definitely need to play with someone with experience on this course.
Bunkers were more dirt than real sand.
I shot 81, my wife had a good day with a 75, but she felt she was working way too hard to figure out the placement of too many tee shots.
Can't recommend this one, too many other great courses in the Phoenix area on which you can see where you are going.
Good Course
Course was in very good condition. Played the course in 3:40 pace but the group behind us were pushing are fore some and were hitting to the green while we were still on it. Saw the ranger earlier on the back nine but the group behind hadn’t caught up to us yet. The course was not very busy at are tee time 12:10 and we didn’t have to wait on any of the holes and we where able to play faster then the recommended pace for the course.
Always a good choice
The Wildfire courses (Palmer & Faldo) are both great courses. Always in top shape and very friendly service.
Allowing a five-some to play really slowed up play. The course was great. The real loud music on the driving range was totally unnecessary.
Good take
Tees,fairways,greens and hazards were in really good shape. Will want to play here again.
This is a really nice layout. I played it at 6600 yards didn’t strike it well so came out with a 91. Ugh!
Not the courses fault. Next time there will take 3 to 5 strokes off just with a little course familiarity.

I enjoyed the challenge. Forced carries from most tees makes it interesting. Would love to play it in top form season
Wildfire-Palmer
Course was in super condition. Staff as always was outstanding, courteous, and helpful. Played here several times, never disappoints.
Really great place. I played pretty poorly but still had a great experience. The grill was amazing. I had the best sandwich I have ever had. The french dip and salad were amazing. Was blown away. I played the Palmer course. Was in good shape, greens were pretty nice. Would definitely play again.
Wildfire Palmer
Have been playing around the valley a bit this fall and this is definitely one of the best conditioned courses I have played. Great layout, good pace, and I’ll even give you credit for the perfect weather. This is why we winter in the Valley of the Sun.
Canadian
Course was in excellent condition. Greens rolled true.
Still raggedy
Wildfire is one of the best courses in the valley; Palmer Course still coming off overseeding so fairways still ragged and greens hairy and slow; give it another week or two before back to normal shape; great track just not in prime shape yet.
Not well laid out
Palmer Course is not well laid out and hazards are of no effect other than a visual illusion.
